Getoffmylawn
Definitely my old Adams Idea Super DHY hybrid. I see TM came out with something eerily similar; as much as I hate all things TM I may have to give it a look. Just a great all around and highly useful club. 3 Quote Driver: TSR2, Ventus Blue 6 S, 65g Stiff FW: TSR2 3w, 15, Ventus Blue 7 S, 70g Stiff Hybrids: Apex Pro 3 & 4H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Iron: JPX 919 Forged 5-GW, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Wedges: SM9 54 S Grind bent to 55, 60 M Grind bent to 59, Aerotech Steelfiber i110 Stiff Putter: White Hot OG Double Wide, Stroke Lab shaft Ball: Pro V1 Click here for my HONMA TR20 Official Review! Shapotomous
Way back when.... I had a Tigershark putter that I really liked way back in the late 70's. For some reason I included it in a bag of clubs I sold. It was an all brass mallet style with a double bend shaft and had the stripes on the back like the zebra putter. I troll various places on the web regularly seeing if one pops up for sale but so far.... no joy. Murray06
Cleveland CG Tour irons. Thought that moving from a blade to a more forgiving club would help, but I lost so much control it was unbelievable. Went on a downward spiral trying to rediscover what I had and think I’ve only just found it again recently. Should never have got rid of them, especially for the trade-in I got. However, at the time it was better to use that cash towards the new set instead of having them lying around collecting dust! GolfSpy MPR
Bumping an old (but evergreen) topic, because I was just thinking about this today. Traded in a Taylormade M4 3HL 16.5° fairway wood last year (to help cover the cost of Kirke's set of US Kids TS clubs). Trading it in adds insult to injury, because when you look at what it would cost to buy it back, it's really hard to stomach. 1 Quote TS3 Mavrik Sub Zero 15°, Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI 70 S F6 5-6W, 18.5°, Fujikura Motore 6.3 XR Pro 20°, Project X 75 Black HYB S CBX Iron-Wood 22°, Project X HZRDUS Black 6.0 85g 699 Pro, Modus3 105, 6–PW Forged Black 50°, 54°, and 58° EAS 4.0 TP5x Full WITB with pictures

LeftyMatt89
Mizuno clk 4 hybrid with a Tensei pro blue 80TX. The only hybrid I’ve ever been able to hit consistently. grbaker2
My parents got me a used Ping putter, my first real club. It was stolen along with 2 other bags out of my garage. I don’t even really remember what is was. It would have been later 80’s, copper color, beryllium maybe? With the plumber neck and smooth black ping grip. Chadvb
Titleist 909F3 3 wood - worst of all I thought my cousin had it, contacted him and set up a round of golf and he said he had it. Brought it to me and gave to me after the round. Right headcover, right shaft (Aldila NV 75S), but was a 904f I discovered when I got home and popped the headcover off. So dissapointing as that thing was going right in the bag! Gil B
I had a Cleveland Comp driver, 10.5* that I reshafted myself with an older stiff Cleveland shaft, Fujikura manufacture, 44 1/2" and I could make that sucker do anything I wanted. Straight, draw, fade, it didn't matter as I had full control over where it was going to go. I got caught up in the "new and improved" crap of today's drivers and bought a new driver. I'm so pissed at myself for believing the hype. I'll regret that decision til the day I die.
Donn lost in San Diego
I had a Cleveland Classic compression molded carbon driver, MW-14. Mid 1990s, pre- Big Bertha. It was the shape of a persimmon with a sole plate, just a wee bit bigger, all black, no fancy marks or aerodynamics. It was fun. I called it my potato masher. There is one on ebay now for $45. The other driver was Callaway Diablo Edge 10.5 deg on a Aldila Habanero 60-R. I dumped it too early about 2017 because it was a few degrees closed face and I wanted to learn to hit properly without a closed face. The shaft was perfect flex for me at the time. Time and technology move on. I hope to fall in love with a "new" Callaway Steelhead Xr 3 wood. Then I will regret giving away a Adams low profile Speedline F11 3 wood on a Matrix Ozik shaft. Maybe I'll keep it anyway for the flat bottom low profile, designed for fairway, not off the tee. MerlinZero
I bought a custom putter, provided all of the relevant information. Its absolutely gorgeous. But I hate it, the weight is bad for me, the swing is unnatural its just uncomfortable to use. It was insanely expensive to boot. I've since moved onto the Cobra Vintage Stingray putter which I absolutely adore.
