Being able to practice over winter season would be awesome!!! I am a little under a year into playing but accomplished so much since but putting has always been my kryptonite.

I haven’t had much practice on artificial putting greens, usually hit the putting green on the course if not my carpet strip.

I’d love to play on a medium speed Matt because it’s what most the courses around me has to offer.

  2. During the winter I putt on my carpet in the basement.
  3. I’ve had 8-10 carpet putting matts, but the roll changes based on the surface it sits on and the form does not stay true.
  4. I would like to test the medium speed as I mainly play at public courses that have medium green speeds.

  2. Bay Area weather allows you to still get out and play, so I'm able to maintain a semi-regular practice routine during this period.
  3. Had an old SKLZ mat that I upgraded to the cheapest wellputt mat. I enjoy it but it's quite skinny and only has one texture.
  4. Medium

Paul. Oklahoma, USA

Currently have Winged Foot fast carpet greens in the house. Sharp corners make a tough course.

I used to have a 8ft $20 putting mat from somewhere like Walmart.

2’ x 10’ + Stance Mat Package. All of their products look great

  1. Bryan, Jackson Michigan
  2. Putting on carpet, hardwood floors and on 2 different putting mats.
  3. Own 2 currently, 1 Skillz  2x6 foot mat and an old school auto return putting machine.  My Skillz mat doesnt lay perfectly flat and the roll does not feel the same as a real green.  The auto return works good on carpets and hardwoods but its more for alignment and not for practicing pace or breaks.
  4. Medium speed as I play a mix of municiple and semi-private courses

Mike / Daytona Beach, Florida

I find myself doing the “yard stick” putting drill almost daily while watching TV. I also have a varispeed mat in my office which makes for a lot of fun. Fortunately, being in Florida, I’m able to get to the course/practice area at least once a week.

As someone who rolls putts daily, I’d love the opportunity to try the highly regarded BirdieBall mat.

I’ve tried and reviewed a number of training aids before, including the Orange Whip, Tour Striker Plane Mate, and Swing Caddie launch monitor.

As a bit of a golf and equipment nerd, I’ve also done personal experiments - such as a personal golf ball test inspired by the 2019 MGS Ball test.

I frequently review products on Amazon, and my reviews have been read more than 50,000 times.

If you’re looking for an honest, detailed, and insightful review from a golfer who is practices regularly and is knowledgeable on equipment and training aids, I’m your guy.
