  2. I do play some golf during the winter so I practice at the course, but also spend some time putting on a rug at my house.
  3. I used to have one of the ones that shoots the ball back to you, and I’ve also used the practice greens that have one hole and the hole is uphill at the end so if you miss it rolls back to you.

I don't, just ask my playing partner

I have never owned a Putting Mat but have been looking and reading reviews on several different brands. The Birdie Ball mats are very enticing!

  1. How do you keep your putting sharp through the winter?  winter is not an issue.  I play year round.  but would like to putt a few minutes daily.
  2. Current/Past Experience with putting mats?  Not good.  flimsy, and not a true roll.
  3. Go to www.birdieball.com and tell us which speed green you'd want to test - fast 11-13 stimpmeter

  1. First Name and Location - Badhri R, Las Vegas
  2. How do you keep your putting sharp through the winter? - Combination of indoor putting mat and putting at the course. We don’t shut down for winter...
  3. Current/Past Experience with putting mats - Use a basic putting mat but it’s slow green and not accurate to the course.
  4. Go to www.birdieball.com and tell us which speed green you'd want to test
would prefer a fast green (championship course) putting surface as most greens around here are fast.

I use the carpet using Puttout putting aid and an old putting mat during winter months.

I have used. Numerous different putting mats. But haven’t liked any of them.

I would be interested in the medium or slow speed.

  3. Not very good replication of the real thing for any I've had in the past, hence the carpet practice.

(6) TESTERS WANTED: BIRDIEBALL PUTTING MAT

bg2020_indoormat_birdieball_std-05.jpg

The biggest knock on artificial putting greens is that they don't roll like real putting greens. BirdieBall believes it's cracked the code. Using a proprietary foam material, it claimed status as MyGolfSpy's  "Best Putting Mat 2020."

Given the state of the world, it seems everyone is adding something to the "at home" practice arsenal, so here's your chance to keep sharp while locked down.

This opportunity is available to current forum members residing in the US. To apply, reply to this thread with the following information:

  1. How do you keep your putting sharp through the winter?
  2. Current/Past Experience with putting mats
  3. Go to www.birdieball.com and tell us which speed green you'd want to test

Bill

Bethesda md

practice on my carpet or a not so good putting mat.
I have used a few different inexpensive mats with ball returns and they never stay flat
