2. Putt in my basement on a Tour Links 9’ training aid with a robocup. Probably do about 200 - 300 putts a week in the winter. Occasional trip to Turning Stone Resort to hit balls and practice in their new short game area.

3. Tour Links has been phenomenal, also had a cheap roll out mat that didn’t do much for me.

4. Medium or Fast speed

John, Northville, Mi

Summer practice at local course, off season I have a 10 ft putting green

Current putting green is very fast but inconsistent as it is hard to keep it flat to the floor and there is no stop so I have to chase long putts across my basement

Would like the medium as most course I play are 10-11 speed

Every winter when it's warm enough, I practice on the Pinehurst #2 putting green. It's inconvenient and very haphazard due to weather. I have never owned a putting mat as my

impression is they are not very good or putt like a real good green. Since I play fast greens , I would definitely prefer the fast birdieball putting mat and hope I have the opportunity to try it out.

  2. I use the Putt Out system, inside. Putt Out, putting mat, mirror and gate. I also get out to the putting green. Being in the south, I get a good bit of winter golf in.
  3. I have owned my Putt Out for almost 2 years. Other than this putting mat I have experimented on carpet, hard wood, and the occasional use of an amazon basic putting mat.
  4. I would like EITHER the Champion speed or the slow speed. (This way I can compare it to the Putt Out mat). Also,  if yall are interested in testing the OUTDOOR mat, I have the space for that as well.

I currently practice on a 9' foam putting mat during the winter, and the night before a round of golf.

I previously built a putting ramp using a decent outdoor carpet with a tight nap that allowed me to practice with a variety of breaks.

I would like to test the fast speed, as I have found that it is the most demanding. Thanks,

  2. I live in an apartment on a crappy public course and I sneak out around dark
  3. Currently in my living room I have a giant piece of particle board, with the drawer liner from home depot glued to it, simulating a "fast" green, and a PuttOUT.
  4. Fast!

  2. I practice putting on the carpet in my house. I focus on getting good roll and tempo as opposed to hitting a target for obvious reasons.
  3. The only outing mat have used is the little putting 'greens' in sporting goods stores.
  4. Medium speed, closest to the majority of the greens I play.

(6) TESTERS WANTED: BIRDIEBALL PUTTING MAT

bg2020_indoormat_birdieball_std-05.jpg

The biggest knock on artificial putting greens is that they don't roll like real putting greens. BirdieBall believes it's cracked the code. Using a proprietary foam material, it claimed status as MyGolfSpy's  "Best Putting Mat 2020."

Given the state of the world, it seems everyone is adding something to the "at home" practice arsenal, so here's your chance to keep sharp while locked down.

This opportunity is available to current forum members residing in the US. To apply, reply to this thread with the following information:

  1. First Name and Location
  2. How do you keep your putting sharp through the winter?
  3. Current/Past Experience with putting mats
  4. Go to www.birdieball.com and tell us which speed green you'd want to test

Randy---Sacramento, CA

Go to the golf course

Tried one to buy but most do not roll true like putting green..so never invested in one.

Medium speed is what I play most.
