Chip Strokes
just picked up my cobra driving iron and went straight to the range first of all, this thing is beautiful. simple head design, satin finish, nothing flashy. the tensei CK shaft is stout and very smooth. the glossy black pops against the satin head. i put about 50 swings on it today and was seeing long very straight ball flights, pretty much point and shoot at the start line i wanted. my usual miss is right, way right. i have a hard time rotating the club head closed. a few tweaks at my lesson yesterday had me wearing out the grooves in the middle of the face today, maybe with a slight heel side bias. even on the balls i didn’t hit great, shots held their line and only lost minimal yardage. seeing as this will be a club off the tee for me, i’m ok with 240 in the fairway instead of 275 on a tight par 4 through a breezy cross wind i was drilling the bottom of the driving range net, about 250 yards away according to my rangefinder. long story short, i’m in love. here’s some pictures and videos as a reward for reading all that. swing critiques welcomed Kenny B, Vegan_Golfer_PNW, Shapotomous and 5 others 7 1 Quote SIM2 8º | KuroKage XD 70TX SIM 3W 14º | Fujikura Atmos Black Tour Spec 9TX SIM2 5W 18º | Fujikura Ventus Black 10X U500 2i | Fujikura Ventus HB Black 10TX T100 4-PW | Dynamic Gold X7 SM6 52* SM8 56* SM8 60* | Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 DW | BGT Stability Tour

Makes sense. I played a short course a few times a month ago and was driving with my 4 and 5 iron fine. makes me possibly consider a driving iron as i usually have a steep attack with my woods and hybrids, causing more problems than not usually. I do know the forgiveness usually isn't there in a DI though. I recently got fitted into PXG irons and then saw they have a driving iron that is supposedly "easy" to hit, plus i have been reading so much on the sub 70 699U so i have options as well. just need to convince myself this would actually help my game Chip Strokes 1 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS Ventus Black 6x 44.5" 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with KBS PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with KBS Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter: L.A.B.
