WITB - 2020 New Bag Overhaul

Recommended Posts

I had been gaming my prior set for 7 years, of clubs cobbled together as I could afford them (during and immediately after college).

With 2020 cancelling travel plans, part of that budget was shifted to a complete new fitted bag! Got fitted by a friend who is now a pro at GolfTec, and ended up with a different set than what I would have bought on my own - was leaning towards TM woods/Mizuno irons/Vokeys, but got better dispersion and launch numbers from the Mav Sub Zeros and Pros.

For sure, now a firm believer that fitting should happen at pretty much any level if you have a consistent swing. People are leaving distance and/or accuracy on the table by going off the rack.

Yeah, really was based what was getting me the best stats as we tuned up each club. I hit Taylormade, Titleist, Ping, and Mizuno, but got the best results from the Mav SubZero and Mav Pros.

Big fan of the Mav Pros. They have a very thin topline for a player’s distance iron, and had the tightest dispersion for me when getting fitted. Definitely looks and works like a blade, but still a bit of distance gained with the tech behind the clubface.
