Does anyone do their own wedge stamping and know of I would be able to purchase said stamps? I have the basics of numbers and letters but I am curious if anyone knows where I can find like custom shapes.

most of the standard stamp sets are 36 pieces (A-Z, 1-9, period)

i would just google the design you’re after. more than likely you’ll end up with a set or just a one off intended for jewelry stamping.

this guy has tons.

Try ETSY they have a number of stamp suppliers.

Be careful when you're going to Etsy or the supply guy.  These are often NOT sharp or hard enough to leave a good impression on a wedge.

I went to clubstamping.com and I’m fairly happy. I’ve heard awesome things about Young Bros. but I don’t think they sell to non retail places online. I think a lot of the tour guys use Young bros. I tried stampyours and they said specifically that they will work on cast wedges in the club stamps, but I underestimated the size of one stamp and it came out tiny so I didn’t try it on a club.

I bought a punch set from Harbor Freight that works great. As mentioned above my Etsy purchase stamp sucks! Anyone know where I can get the skull stamps that Anthony at Callaway is using for his wedges?

They do not have the skulls that AT uses. The ones sold on Etsy are the exact designs he uses, but the one I got won't even dent a wedge.

so...first attempt at this. i think it came out ok not perfect. my son’s name is Joseph Amore, hence the nickname “joey love”

letters with curves are a real PITA. it’s hard to get consistent pressure on all areas of the stamp.

i alternated between 1-2 more forceful strikes and several lighter, more rapid strikes. i can’t really tell if one way worked better than the other.

in feel like the letters need to be stamped as deeply as the dots to look their best, but i couldn’t figure out how to get them to bite that deep

i think this will look much better once painted up. i’m gonna go with white against the black wedge.

any input would be really well appreciated.

Are these the supply guy stamps? Great job on the first try! It definitely takes some time. I’ve seen videos where they stamp through double sided tape to hold the stamp in place and I might try that the next time.

i might give them all another whack when i get back over to my parents’ house this week. you can kind of find the imprint with the stamp and find where you need to hit.

i think it’d be near perfect if everything was a bit deeper but i’m also thinking i should leave well enough alone and just paint it up.

What are you hitting on?  It's tough to get those stamps hit hard enough.  I still don't trust myself completely when really trying to hammer one in. Stick with it!

anvil on a work bench. wedge was clamped to the anvil with vice grips (with a towel for protection)

i know what you mean about not trusting myself. i tried really driving one home on the test club head i bought. caught my thumb real flush.

I did find it a lot easier to make good impressions on the forged wedges as well.  My cast Clevelands were a little tougher go.  I did find that I got a better strike while standing as opposed to sitting at the bench.  The curved letters can tough to fix too because when you try to angle the stamp a little, it leads to bad strikes or scratches.
