edingc Posted September 30, 2020 Share Posted September 30, 2020 I never played it when it was still Grand Haven Golf Club, but from friends who had played it, they said it was terribly tight and overgrown with trees. I have heard they stripped several inches of top soil off the grounds to get back to the native sand base. Looks like a fantastic renovation. I highly doubt I'll fork over the cash for a round (Grand Haven is a huge tourist town filled with money, so they'll have no issue booking the tee sheet). Still, cool to have two Nicklaus courses (along with Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor) and a Palmer course (Ravines in Saugatuck) so close to each other right along the lake shore.
