What was your most excessive purchase?

What do you think your most excessive golf purchase has been? It doesn't need to be the most expensive item overall, but maybe expensive for what it is.

For example, I once bought a $75 Bettinardi divot tool when I could use a tee to fix divots.

I think for me it would be a headcover as well... I mean, you can put a $1 sock on it and it works, but nooo... have to get it custom made for big big $$$

My next excessive purchase might be an electric push cart out of titanium, weighing only 5kg including battery... for about EUR 2300... if I can get grandparents to come babysit next year, I'll go ahead with the purchase, otherwise will get a flat rate for carts so I can take my kids with me every round.

I tend to agree with Tony, I look for a bit more value.  That said, there are a couple options...

One is my King LTD driver.  After no fewer than a half dozen on course demos, I bought one at nearly full price.  I'd already had a Fly-Z+ that's turned out to be better for me, as well as a TEE XCG7 Beta which is the lowest spin driver I've ever played (not counting the possible J's Professional Weapon).  

An honorable mention to the GripMaster Roo grips I picked up this past summer, that I've yet to install on anything.  Pending switch to graphite is delaying their installation.

Probably the Masters ball marker when I went to the practice round in 2010. No real purpose, just sits in a drawer.

I am fairly frugal when I buy things so either I use it or it gets sold/traded.
