Adamman84 11
Hey Everyone, This is my first post here (besides trying to signup to test clubs) and I wanted to show off what I am gaming for 2020. I have been a Hogan guy since Highschool and that has followed me into my early adult hood. Current Bag: Driver: Taylormade Sim Max 9 degree (either set to 9 degree or 9.75) (Ventus Stiff tipped graphite shaft) Fairway Wood: Ben Hogan GS53 4 Wood (16 degrees) (HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0 stiff) Utility Iron: Ben Hogan Ft Worth Hi Utility Iron (18 Degree) (UST Mamiya Recoil Stiff) Irons: Ben Hogan Icon 4-PW (black finish) (Dynamic Golf S300) Wedges: Ben Hogan Equalizer 52 and 56 (they have been bent to 53 and 57 from Hogan. I did just order a 50 degree from Hogan as I am one club short in the bag and found that my gapping needs a 50 degree)(KBS Tour v-110 S) Putter: Taylor Made Spider Tour Bag: Ben Hogan Midsize Staff Bag Ball: Taylor TP5 Pix (the red x version, but I have been messing around with the 2.0 models as well) Gloves: Hogan/Taylor/Footjoy Stats (if anyone is curious): Handicap: 2.2 (was 1.3 but had a few rough rounds and currently going through a bit of a swing change) Swing Speed: 95ish mph (irons) / 105-110 mph (driver) Sorry about the pictures, I am currently remodeling part of my home and the light is garbage in basically every room. Anyone else out there gaming Hogan irons? I still have my 1999 Apex irons in my old HS bag that I refuse to toss because they are just.....so good haha

GBWarPig 76
Dig the setup! Have never played Hogan myself, but hope I can find an old set someplace and refinish them, if only as something to tinker and play a round or two with. tdroma98 23
Good Set up Adam. It's good to see someone who plays the Hogan Irons and Wedges. The wedges look really good. I've gone back to Vokey's from Callaway's. Like the fact the Wedges come in the odd degrees 53, 55, 57; How is the feel and how do you like them? Looking hard at Hogan's combo set now with a UiHi 4-iron bc it may finally be time to upgrade. What do you like about the Dynamic Gold S-300 shaft vs the KBS Tour V? You and I have similar clubhead speed. You and I have similar clubhead speed. I tried both shafts and found that the S-300 gives me a slightly more penetrating flight and I get a bit more spin out of the ball. Distance wise I didn't really notice a big gap between the two shafts On 10/3/2020 at 10:47 AM, tdroma98 said: Good Set up Adam. It's good to see someone who plays the Hogan Irons and Wedges. I love the wedges, can hit a lot of different shots and am able to stick the ball when I need to.

If the finish is just starting to show some wear and tear a bit after 3 years on wedges I would say that's pretty good. DBM finish sems to be an anodized finish as opposed to a painted finish most black irons have. I figured that the black finish would wear away and everything would start to look a bit beaten but I am ok with it. The set (both wedges and irons) has been fantastic

The black finish on my 60° i think is painted on and is pretty faded and worn. I love the look of the deep black DBM finish on both the Ben Hogan and Cobra irons so it's good to hear that the finish holds up well.
