What Appeals to You About a Raw Wedge: I play a lot of open face shots.  When opening the face when the sun is in the wrong spot, it can produce a ton of distracting glare.  I used to rust my wedges because of this until I found a custom finish that I liked from a local vendor.

What appeals to me about a raw wedge is the softer feel and hopefully additional spin generated when it's nice and rusty. I'm especially interested in wet conditions and I currently use a stock Zipcore and testing head to head would be a fun comparison.

At one time the options were so few, many took to the home version of RAW by soaking wedges in Coke and other methods to get them to rust. The last few years have seen many OEM’s offer a RAW version of their wedges. With Cleveland Golf having successfully launched the new RTX Zip Core wedges in the summer, it now is offering the wedge in the popular RAW or it is officially called Tour Rack finish.

So, we’re going to let you tell us if raw is better.

What Appeals to You About a Raw Wedge:  Love how it rusts over time.  Gives it some distinction & makes it easier for me to pick the right wedge out of the bag, instead of fumbling thru 5 wedges    "Hey hand me the rusted looking wedge out of my bag."  vs  "Hey can you hand me the wedge that looks like all the other wedges except for the 58 # on top."  LOL
