Do You have a different grip position for your driver?

(Right handed) I always play with a strong left hand, and neutral right hand grip on my irons & wedges.

For the last 3 or 4 months my driver and 3 wood have been shaping from a cut, to a fade\ strong fade.

My Son said it was my grip.

A few days ago, I started turning my right hand strong so that it's aligned with my left.

( The 2 clapping palms position)

Now my driver and 3 wood are going from straight to slight draws.

Do any of you have a different grip for your driver?

Other clubs?

Thanks

Nope, I stick with a neutral grip on all my clubs unless playing a specific shot type (like opening the clubface fully for a flop wedge).

In my opinion, changing the grip to correct ball flight is masking an issue with swing path, and would be more of a band-aid fix.

Working on ensuring the clubface is square at impact would be my step one if seeing shots veer off what you expect, then once you have that in line, working on swing path to shape the ball accordingly.

Great question and great responses.

I don't really think about grip because I try not to manipulate it. What feels natural has become my slightly strong grip but, I still don't think about it.

I point the club on my target line and set the club down barely holding it with one hand. Then I square my feet, hips, and shoulders to the face of my club with whatever stance fits the club. After all that, I take my grip without moving the face. This results in a slightly strong left and nearer to neutral right for me.

In other words, I build my grip from the ground up as the last piece in the chain to avoid contorting or manipulating it.

100% this. I learned a very Ben Hogan style grip, and that is neutral at all times with swing path manipulation for ball movement, so I don’t think about adjusting the way I grip the club. It’s purely my connection to transfer swing power to the clubface.

I'm going to put a twist on this a bit. I use a neutral grip. However I use interlocking on irons, and the baseball or 10 finger grip for Driver, 3 wood and 5 wood.  It's just what works for me!

I experimented years ago manipulating grip positions. While I had initial success I also could not make consistent swings. Instead I researched ball flight and club face impact to learn how the ball flight occurs from path/clubface angles(i.e open/close). Then I took lessons and learned how to maintain neutral grip but change foot position/ball positions depending on desired shot needed. I get it why some just simply alter grip as it does/can work i just couldn't achieve consistency by only adjusting my grip.
