RIP Eddie Van Halen

Such a huge loss. So many of the guitar players I look up to today were directly, and indirectly, influenced by what Eddie did on the guitar whether it be through some of the groundbreaking techniques he pioneered or the gear he used. He left a huge mark on the world of guitar playing. He'll be missed.

He definitely was one of the best. Way too young.

Yeah that news was really shoking...

Yeah, sad news but not unexpected.  He had been receiving radiation treatments for throat cancer for 5 years.  It metastasized to his brain.  Very sad.

I was never a VH fan, but I didn't hate them. Their music just never clicked with me. I think Mean Street was their best song... and Jump was/is a terrible song, IMO.

Flame suit is on...lol.

Didn’t like the David Lee Roth era but did get a kick out of Sammy Hagar.
Eddie was a great guitar player.
