Shank Aaron
I was messing around and found this site while I was trying to find out if a shaft I was interested in was too stiff/flexible. It's obviously not pinpoint accurate, but I've found that its not far off. Regardless, it's a pretty cool database. https://s3fitting.com/try Tarheelvolvo, Nolan220 and DevilDog29 3 Quote Shank's Tentative 2024 WITB O.B. Shank Aaron
Yeah, I believe this "try me" version is wood shafts only. To get other shafts you'd have to pay for a membership. I just thought it was a cool toy to mess around with to get a small glimpse of stiffness comparison. How accurate it is/isn't I have zero clue. Quote Shank's Tentative 2024 WITB O.B. JalanK
According to site, my shaft entry is right in my wheel house. Skewed just a little to toward too stiff, but in the Green Zone all the way. Must be right, because I really like the shaft, and I have in my Gamer and backup drivers. ejgaudette
Seems like a great tool for some unbaiaed comparisons between brands since we all know mid-launch from one company is not mid-launch from another. I think MSG used to partner with this or a similar company and post charts in there shaft review articles. Nolan220
This is interesting .. my driver and 5 wood are right in the ball park so that’s good to know .. I was fitted for my driver so I would hope that would be good, for my 5 wood I based the shaft on my swing speed and looks like was pretty on point Quote Speedzone Driver Tensei AV Blue or G400 SFT 10. dlow206
Seems significantly off for some shafts. There was a drastic difference in this tool between the Graphite Design AD-BB 6S and the AD-XC 6S. For me, the AD-XC 6S was in the too soft section and the AD-BB was in the too stiff section. Based on a different tool that includes EI-curve, the AD-BB and AD-XC are virtually the same shaft with the AD-XC being actually slightly stiffer in some sections.
