Kirkland Wedge Set

Anyone hear any news about the Kirkland wedge set? Last article I read was that they were supposed to be released the first week of October. I will definitely be buying and trying them out as I am playing with a set of bombtech wedges. Thinking the Kirkland quality will be better.

I got them at the grand opening of the Surprise AZ Costco! They were an exclusive for the grand opening! They have Kirkland grips and true temper shafts

Someone that is buying a 3 piece wedge set at costco probably doesn’t care much about custom grinds

Very nice! I don't know why I'm in such a twitch over these- I guess I've built up my own anticipation but I love the fact that Costco is stepping into the ring with golf clubs.

$160 seems like okay pricing for these but I would probably rather go with some Maltby TSWs as they cost about the same or less per club and they will build them to your specs. They seem to look okay but that Kirkland Signature logo just seems a little off-putting. I'll be curious to see if they stick in a cheaper TT Score shaft or if they put in a normal TT/KBS shaft.

I saw them at Costco yesterday, they look very nice. Didn't notice what shaft, but my wife needs to make a return so I'll check on that.

But I agree with Kansas King, I'd look at the Maltby TSW first. I have the TSW on the TT Score shafts, and they are excellent.

I bought them at the Redmond, WA Costco yesterday.

 

Have not had the chance to hit them yet.

Some basic specs:

52/10, 64* lie, D3 swing weight

56/10, 64* lie, D4 swing weight

60/8, 64* lie, D4 swing weight

Others are describing the grind as a "D" grind, and the shaft has a tough time keeping up with very fast swing speeds. Steel shaft, unbranded. Black grip described as "similar to tour velvet" branded as Kirkland Signature.

Nice just saw these popping up on ebay for 250. Lol scalpers who think we will pay that much for a set of ksig wedges. Will have to see if they have any at my local costco and check them out.

The NorthEast unfortunately doesn't have them yet. There's a thread on the WRX that has some feedback and it seemed to be positive overall. Solid spin but a soft shaft per the poster. I've been curious to get my hands on these as well. With Costco's money back guarantee it's a no-brainer.

Just called Costco with a part number I was able to pull off a picture of the box from an eBay scalper. Looks like it is not set up but they were able to search by description. For those in the LA area, Yorba Linda, Irvine, Palm Desert seems to have some. I will just wait till they start listing on their website.

They have some of these in Summerlin store in Las Vegas. Also have some Performance+ V2.0 3 piece balls. First I had ever heard of them having a revised ball. Wonder how different they are. Will cut one open tomorrow.

I just can't get excited about buying golf clubs from a place like Costco. Especially something like wedges. Wonder when Second Swing is gonna start selling Pork Chops and Toilet paper?

When I called around here they didn't even know what a wedge was :D. Still no luck as they're not in the system yet.

I keep hearing rumors of these with big things apparently going for them. Mind sharing a pic of the new ball and box? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. The current edition aren't terrible but also cheap enough that I have no qualms about ditching a ball when it's starting to get dark and impossible to see a ball buried a foot off the fairway.

The wedges are TBD but you do know that Costco "White Labels" a lot of products. Supposedly the Kirkland Vodka is actually Grey Goose. Their Spiced rum comes from either Cruzan or Captain Morgan. Shrug, time will tell.

i don’t think anyone’s hating, we’d just prefer to buy our clubs from a real golf company. 

the same way i’m not running out to buy life insurance from Sony (yes they sell insurance), i’m not in a rush to buy my golf clubs from costco.

True, but I was hoping they'd be priced a little closer to the old Tour Edge TGS wedges, which you can get for about $35 a pop. With local shops, 55 per iron can get you clearance or demo versions of more premium clubs if you're willing to wait for the stores to be dumping the past years stock.
