P790 help!!

looking for a bit of help.

I bought a set of used 2019 p790's with a set of recoil shafts playing 1/2 short of standard length swingweight D0 with midsize grips fitted.

I have tried to build them to standard length but swing weight is way to heavy D4-D5 and that's with Golf pride full cord z grip.

Do taylormade use different weighted heads for short clubs.

My guess is that they have weight plugs in the head. You can remove them when removing the shaft.

By increasing the length of the golf shaft by one-half inch, the swingweight will be increased by about three swingweight points.  If you switched grips and they are lighter that the old grips you add more to swingweight.

No, they should be using the same head weight.  The grips can add a lot of weight, even different colors can add more weight.  if the get too heavy try adding lead tape to the grip end.

@cnosilis correct. Increased length and lighter grips mean increased swingweight. Add weight to the grip end.
