Yellow Jacket
I moved from Atlanta to Washington, DC in early 2018 and only started playing again over the summer, so the hiatus is driving a lot of my club choices. Titleist 915D3 8.5* Aldila Synergy Blue 70TX. This will probably be replaced with a TSi3 over the next few months. Titleist 915F 15*. Currently waffling between a Diamana B Series 80X and D+ LTD 80X--I'm trying to figure out my fairway wood shaft situation after my Rogue Black 80X snapped right before the hiatus. Titleist 915F 18*. I had been using a Grafalloy Epic T90X but I'm also testing it with the D+ LTD from my 3 wood. Titleist 716MB Dynamic Gold X100. I only played 2 rounds with these before the hiatus. They're 1* upright and I think I may have to flatten the lies. Vokey SM6 52F, TVD 54K bent to 56*, TVD 60M all with Dynamic Gold S400. I swapped out my 3 iron for the gap wedge back shortly before the hiatus but I'm not convinced. Bullseye Flange from the 1970s (?), Ping Anser 2 black stainless from the late 1990s (not pictured). I had the perfect Scotty Cameron collection (Gun Blue Newport 2, TeI3 Newport 2, Studio Stainless Newport 2, Futura Phantom Mallet 2) back in 2012-14 but sold them, a decision that will haunt me for the rest of my life. I'd love to pick up another Studio Stainless Newport 2 but all the ones on Ebay are either beat up or overpriced. Pickle_Rick1996
You seem to love titleist clubs. Never really liked the look so never tried, all my clubs are TM or Cobra. What do you like about the 915s and Titleist in general?

BNewton51
Those Blades are fire man. Love them!! I hit the Titleist blades, Mizuno MP's and these 919 tours.. The only reason I went with the tours is I get a wee bit more forgiveness and getting older I reckon I need as much of that as I can get. Nice bag though man. Can't go wrong with the Titleist brand. Never really liked the look so never tried, all my clubs are TM or Cobra. What do you like about the 915s and Titleist in general? I started playing golf in middle school and the assistant pro at my muni, a mini tour player, was a Titleist staffer. This was the late 90s so everyone from Tiger to David Duval to Sergio to Phil was also playing Titleist. By high school, I was gaming a 975D 6.5*, 990 irons, original Vokey wedges, and a TeI3 Newport 2. I briefly played Cleveland TA1 irons as my first set of forged blades after college, I replaced those original Vokeys with TaylorMade rac Blacks since Vokeys were beyond my budget at the time, and I've played woods from Nike and TaylorMade, but I ultimately came back to Titleist. In terms of the 915 woods, they perform well, even if I'm having shaft troubles with my 3 wood at the moment. If I had an unlimited budget, I might have considered upgrading to TS3 or SIM, but the timing works out that I'll probably get a TSi3 and keep it for 5+ years. As for Titleist in general, I like their design philosophy. I know it's a meme to say Titleist drivers spin too much and lack ballspeed, but I've never seen much of a difference compared to Callaway, Ping, and TaylorMade. That's probably due to my delivery characteristics, +3 AoA and 13-14* launch, which will work with pretty much anything. As for fairways, blades, and wedges, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better. Putters are a different matter, but I generally putt the same no matter what I play which is why I'm searching for a Studio Stainless Newport 2--doesn't require maintenance, great look at address, and importantly I can scoop the ball off the green.
