You may have mentioned it earlier and I missed it, but did you choose that grind specifically? Is it similar or different from what you’ve sued and the rest of your wedges?

My previous wedges (RTX4) are just stock mid-bounce standard grind. The custom options were what drew me to apply for the test because I've never thought about what conditions I normally play in, or the types of shots that I frequently play during my rounds. I took what I know about the playing conditions and types of shots/techniques I play most, and looked at the Vokey wedge selector to get some recommendations. After that, the Tour Rack website has comparables to both the RTX4 line, and competitor wedge offerings like Vokey.

Was able to get out today with the beautiful weather here. The 56* felt to be more drop and stop than my old RTX4 and the low bounce I didn’t blade anything, which is a first for me in a round.

I’ve been putting in a lot of practice with my 56* on my home set up and in the yard. Still waiting on the 60* to show up.

Same, I went to Cleveland event and demo the 60*, you’re going to love it!

Played a round yesterday. Overall crappy ball striking. Still figuring out distance control with these. Also struggled with the feel for these around the green. No chipping green prior didn’t help. Likely on me. Just need to practice with these a bit more.  I will say I am still not seeing any spin benefit, again likely from poor ball striking so take that for what it’s worth. Still no patina yet.

Mixed success during my round today. I had some decent distance control on some 60-80y pitches/approaches, including one that I put about 3' from the hole from 78y:

I did, however, nuke a green from a similar distance, into the wind. Thought it would play about 20y longer due to the stiff breeze in my face, but I carried it to the back fringe and it held up on top of a hill.

Need to get some solid chipping practice in. Not sure if it's the increased bounce but I'm hitting them a little thin. Overall though, they're every bit as good as my RTX4 were, and they feel alive now that they have the Modus 115's in them. I really like this shaft

Judging by the number of views, my uploads on YouTube arent a secret anymore.

I took a side-by-side shot with my Wilson Staff 56* (first shot) vs the Cleveland ZipCore 56* (second shot)

 

Then yesterday when the 60* showed up, I took a few practice shots with it. I've been without a 60* for a while, so getting used to the 6* of bounce is quite the learning curve.

 

Really looking forward to putting these through their paces. My life has been super hectic lately (Layoffs, Furloughs, My employer "merged" with another, worked the Houston Open, etc)

Hoping to get a few rounds in soon.

So I've played around 200 holes of golf over the past two+ weeks with the wedges and am going to start writing my final review tomorrow. Really felt like I finally started to sync up with them this week, especially from 50 yards and in. That's where I think the design and build quality really win out over the wedges I played before.

Played a practice round today and practiced multiple shots with these after getting them with matching grips to my set. On half shots and 3/4 these were lovely. All of these landed so nice and soft. Starting to get the distance control now. Nice check up and the feel great off the face, kinda like a spring but mushy in a sense. Also paid attention to the sound. Mishits were high pitched and the well struck more muted and lower in tone. 
 

Full shots seemed to float too much and kind of just fall. Hard to say if that’s my swing or the shaft. Also was playing in some slop today, likely hitting things. 
 

Will likely get my review up in a couple more weeks while I get some more work with them.

Great review Cory. Thats awesome they made it into the bag for sure.

I've been considering some new wedges as I play the older Callaway Vintage X-Forged 52* 56* and 60*'s.

I love the feel of them so its going to be hard to give them up if something else makes it into the bag.

Id like to see how they hold up after say 10 shots from a greenside bunker. Spin? landing - soft? what does the club look like wear wise? face and sole scratched and mangled (for lack of a better word)

Will do although the place i am playing has pretty firm bunkers now. I did get in a fluffy last week at a different track and it did come out nice and soft

Holds up. Hit ten each before and after pictures. Was struggling with flyers on the 54*. 58* was soft. The 54 issues are more me than the club form wise. These wedges are great, just need practice to hone them in. I was also able to hit a one hop stop chip today, which I was cool to do. Definitely not part of my game but in the name of testing it had to be tried.

Changed my chipping and pitching approach in practice. Was getting some nice couple hop and stop out of these. The 58 is also starting to patina a little.
