Got out for 14 holes this afternoon before darkness and the coolness sat in.

You could not have asked for a better November 20th day of weather, sunny skies and temps in the upper 60's and no winds. Played in short sleeves until the last three holes.

Really good stuff with the driver today.  I didn't use the Rapsodo as the course was packed and we had people right behind us.  But did use the SX500 to capture most drives.  Had a long of 226 and a short of 179 and that was a tragically poor swing that result in deadly duck hook that ended up in a fairway bunker.   Most were in the 196 to 210 range, which again is a bit longer than than my TS1 and just as importantly as the TS1 is they were all fairway finders.  Even a couple over the top low heel shots that didn't fly high but still managed to get out there around 190 to 195.

My playing partner who is a died hard PING guy hit it on several holes and really liked the sound of it, and he hit one 246 and he usually lives in the 222 to 235 range.

We also tested it out with these 🙂

Must be nice to get the balls before us general hackers do. 😉  Perks to working at a golf course & being in good with the local rep I guess.  Thanks for saving me a sleeve!  Make sure there aren't any skymarks on my club now.  I'd like it to look pristine when I take it over.  🙂  HA!

Trying to figure this Driver out. Distance same as I get now but less height & carry. Going to a different range Monday that should be hitting off grass. Also there is a different Titleist fitter, May visit him if I can.

Ping G410, Alta CB Sr flex 55.

I hit the G410 tonight and hit it well. I think my TSI2 problem is Shaft related. Monday I’m hoping to get a session w a different Titleist fitter.

Did you get a round in before?

Yes I did!! My driving was bucking me around today but managed to hit 50% of my fairways and average 275 off the tee. That number includes 2 really ugly duck hooks. Before I got the TSI I was only averaging 25%FIRs. Now my issue is rolling through them

I wrapped up my range/launch monitor evaluation today and took the TSi2 to the course for the first time.  So far, what I saw on the range holds true on the course.   Today, I hit four drives on each hole, alternating between my gamer driver and the TSi.  I’ll try to get a few more rounds in comparing the two this week, before the rain sets in.

hint:  so far things are looking good for the TSi2.

So i brought the bad swing today to the course, driver, irons, short game, everything. I hit my drives really short, don't want to talk about the distances lol.

However, after the round, I went to the range and figured out what was causing me issues. As I have been working through some recent swing changes and grip changes, my tempo got really slow for me. When my tempo gets off, especially too slow, I can't hit anything well. Sped up my tempo during my after round range session and hit a lot of good drives. Ball flight is pretty high with the TSi 2 when i hit it well, interested to see what the numbers look like on Trackman these days.

I’m going to try and get out over the long holiday break this week, the weather is supposed to be fairly decent. The wife ended up testing positive for covid, so I’ve been on lockdown with her unfortunately.

I was tinkering a little more with it the last time I was out, feeling close to finding that perfect setup.

Thanks for posting this. In some weird funk with my on course swing. My driver previously was a reliable 230, with better drives getting out to 250. My 7 iron average was at least 155, now it goes like 130.

Need to figure out how to bring the range swing to the course.

It’s a funny game. I had the exact opposite on Friday. On the range I was hitting my iron shots pretty poorly, some fat, some low hooks and a few slices mixed in just for fun.

Got on the course and the first hole, I  hit a solid 7 iron and soild PW into a Par 5 for a two putt par.  Hit solid iron shots from there.

i had the TSi out along with another driver and hit two tee shots off several holes.  The  TSi won just about each time!

Another mini-contest.

Whoever makes the closest guess for what my longest drive during my round on 11/15 will be with the TSi 2 will win one of the Titleist ball markers. Go.

Keep in mind, weather will be wet and rainy, so won't get much roll-out. My longest drive last round was only 235, which is on the short end of the spectrum for me for longest drive. It could be one of those days again, but i am hoping not.

Guesses:

Driver was off today, actually whole game was off today. My longest drive of the day today was less than 226, so @Kenny B is the winner. Please PM me.

C'mon man!  I was going to change my guess that was based on the very wet conditions in the Seattle area.  I thought sure that you would pump one out there after it dried out a little.

PM sent.

Made the cart drive to Palmer Range Mats Only!! Grass closed for this week for overseeding. Sucked it up like a Big Boy and got a bucket. Keep things simple hit the TSI2 & G410 well, very well. Had to crank adjustment to max loft and draw to get ball flight to show any change. TSI2 feels great only problem is height is still not where I want it, G410 was spot on.
Set up an appointment w Titleist Rep December 1st earliest I could get w Bird Season here. He’s going see what going on and he’s thinking lighter shaft.
While at the range 3 women invaded my area all carrying bags w about 20 clubs in each bag. None of them could hit a ball 30 feet. The woman closest to me was shanking everything, even shanked one into my leg. She never looked up , apologized, nothing!! I picked up the ball and she said I could keep it, what a nice gesture.Image1606153160.870883.jpg
1st shot off the toe, hard to adjust to rubber Tees on mats.

I have a primo tee time on Torrey North Saturday morning. I hear the rough over there is starting to get pretty nasty so it will be a good test of the TSi. Cannot. Wait.

I'm laughing at her comment about keeping the ball..ha  I bet you really wanted to tell her where you planned on returning it!!

I do hate it when rubber tees are not the right height, it makes a huge difference.  If they are too low, they do me absolutely no good in determining anything.   If they are too high, I live in fear of skying it off the top of the face.    That's why I'm fortunate I can go on the course while I can.   Our grass range is closed for the season, and it's mats only, although if it's not crowded, I can sneak down to our instruction area and hit a few tee shots, just not off the turf.

Rick...I see the problem now.   The club is upside down AND put on backwards.   It looks like a club  Jordan Spieth would have in the bag when he gets in tree trouble.   Which could be a frequently used club now days 🤣

The rubber tees are the worst. Have become so accustomed to mine (same ones for years have a 1" yellow mark. I tee it to the bottom of that mark). I actually made an insert for them that fit the standard rubber tee...works mint. Took a pool noodle foam and took a rubber tee cut it almost flush to the grass mat (I keep that in my bag with the tee). Insert the small foam into the base and you can adjust the tee how you want it.

Yeah, I've told our GM the next order of mats they put in needs to have the slot running down the side that allows you to place your tee in anywhere you choose.

I hate rubber tees with a passion. Next time i go to a range where I have to use a rubber tee, I am bringing my own that has an insert for a regular tee.

This is great, I never knew the opinions on rubber tees were so strong! I feel like I need to start hating them too 🙂

Oh i hate them with a passion. They are either too short or too long. Glad at my club the mats use a contraption where you can place a regular tee.

She was serious . She had no clue what was going on. There were 1/2 dozen balls in front in my mat from her shanking everything. The guy next to me on the other side was laughing his butt off.
