2020 Official Member Review: Titleist TSi Drivers

Took 10* tsi2 down to 9.25 * without any launch reduction but spin reduction for those into the fan shots......I hit tsi2 into places my best SIM driver finished.....ballspeed retention is amazing......I'm the type to use most of the face so that's a big factor!

Been hitting the gym hard and working on some speed stick training...I think it’s time to get on track man again and see some more numbers this week!! See if I can get the TSi3 kicked up a notch

I need to do the same. 2020 was a rough year for me fitness-wise and my club/ball speeds when testing out the TSi and my Epic/other drivers this fall were enlightening, and not in a good way.

Played 9 this morning. TSi2 was working well. I changed the settings and seems to be a bit better. Driver was set at max draw I dropped it crack 1 setting. I was getting too much draw and was causing me a little bit of a problem, this should help.
I’m still 10 yards in front of the Wednesday group.

Went for a lesson a week or so ago, with a quick change to my swing I was picking up yardage and better dispersion with the same swing speed. We both agreed that I hit the TSi3 better than the SIM (although not the same shaft). The consistency I had with the TSi3 was excellent so the Titleist will be the gamer for 2021. Plus I absolutely love the looks of the TSi3.

Just booked for Monday so we will see if the work is paying off. I was disappointed as well with my numbers this year. Being massively sick in March didn’t help either. 2021 is gonna be better, I’m determined to make it so.

I think they did a really good job packing in a lot of tech with a sleek look. Perfect combo of modern and classic IMO. I think a lot of people will be surprised how good this driver is.

When does yours come in?

I found mine used with the Ventus 6x, showed up in like new condition for a few hundred less than new. The ventus is not a cheap upgrade new!

Hit 'em both!  A couple of the reviews I've seen/read had those same thoughts going in, and ended up hitting the 3 better, and one the other way, thinking it'd be the TSi3 and ended up hitting TSi2 better.  It's all about YOUR swing , and how you are presenting the club face to the ball.

Yep. My search is for forgiveness, so more likely the 2 fits the bill.

Just completed a follow-up Trackman session. The work has certainly paid off...today was purely, how fast can I get the TSi 3 to go?

For reference here is where I was during the test:

Clubhead speed: 109.8

Ball Speed Average: 164 MPH

Carry: 267 yards

Today: (These were eye-popping)

Average Clubhead Speed: 114.93

Carry: 284.1 yards

Ballspeed: 171.5 MPH

Here is the fastest I could get it to go (it is not included in the averages above because of how far left it went lol)

IMG_2548.jpg.53d83a2db4e5e4cd3df98e501d9430e2.jpg

Craziest thing was the fact that I was able to start controlling it:

IMG_2543.jpg.5c7a943804932ebbc04f35f7825253cb.jpg

IMG_2544.jpg.5958c87426bd0db59172b39243166b2a.jpg

I have already sold my EFSZ on Ebay as the honeymoon period is over with the TSi3 and I am still getting some awesome improvement and performance.

My only concern is the spin rate...seems a bit high.  I may have to switch to a lower spin ball and see how that works. I hope all you other testers are having as much fun as I am!

That's the wisdom - develop the speed first, then learn to control it.  Nicely done!

I’m experimenting with the G410 as a modified 3w. Driver adjustments is a beautiful thing.

TSi3 spin was WAY too low for me. Good ball speed, and I liked the looks and feel, but I couldn’t play it.

That is awesome, kind of like a Stenson 3w or Phil's smaller driver. I like that idea, gives you confidence with a bigger head behind the ball. Happy Tinkering!

Just an update......tried SIM, SIM2 and MAX also G425 max......none will unseat tsi2....

Last up is epic max

The tsi2 is pretty much on cruise control.....fun!

Played 9 Wednesday. Hit 5 of 7 fareways with TSI2 with decent length. The 2 fareways missed were not by a lot and were still in play. Honeymoon is over and TSI2 is still in the bag and doing well.
I have changed the settings to more “center” from draw. Still getting a mini draw and that’s fine.
Wanted to get in another round this morning but 37* and that’s not getting me out the door.
G410 plus driver set at max height is now a permanent 3w and I’m liken’ it!
See how Monday goes , a couple VERY narrow fareways.

Almost forgot.
A member here sent me a Thank You care package a month ago including 6 ProV1’s. Wednesday I played with these balls! Definitely a few yards longer than the Sirxons. My surprise is my swing speed is Turtle speed and didn’t think the ProV1’s would work, wrong again.

I may be back on the ProV train again.
Next time Titleist has a fitting day I’m looking at TSI2 hybrid, after the driver hybrid has to be decent.
