Golfspy_CG2
The only PING iron that is coming out in early 2021 is the G425. cnosil
Seems to be a mixed bag of clubs there. Player or players distance? Filled head? If you are looking for players irons, the most wanted test results are supposed to come out Monday. Lots of great clubs wer part of that test. However, I did hear with the release of the new driver that they will be releasing some new irons. Not sure if they will be of the players form though. More game improvement is probably the direction they will go. Having hit the others you mentioned, the T100 and P770 are both quality offerings. To your point though, I would agree that they surprisingly do look a little bigger than your typical players irons. I have the 919's but tried all the aforementioned and of them all I felt the look and feel of the 919's were far cleaner and fit my eye better. Funny cause the club fitter said, "you know these are an older model and the 921's are newer, right?" He was so used to people buying the latest and greatest he initially thought I was gonna go that route. But all said, if I can get something that was new (even if older model) and fit my eye and performance best that's what I went with. But I think your comments were fairly accurate. Especially about the T100. They did feel harsh when you hit them. I get the same type of feel out of the Vokey wedges, but most people tell me I'm crazy. BrownBearGolf 1 Quote BNewt51 Golf Addict.... fixyurdivot
Any new intel on when these will be available? I'd really love to include these in my fitting. Also, rumor has it they will be releasing the i59 irons in 2021. They look like the offspring between an i210 and i500 who then had a child with the Blueprints . Will they be a true forged MB like the BP's or???? Also just located this video which is the first I've found not in Japanese or just animation with no details about the irons. fixyurdivot
The description of the G425's says they are shorter a wee bit (presumably comparing to the G410's) but nothing about MOI comparison - only that tungsten is in both the toe and hosel. I do like the cleaner look (badging); the red and black is a little flashy for my palette. Love the play of words "injected some fairway wood tech into their DNA..." initially making be think they finally added the magic goo inside... nope . While I'll definitely want to test hit the i59's, I suspect they will not prove as good a match. I just test hit the i500's again yesterday with the Recoil SMC Wrap ES780/F3 shafts and they more or less matched my G410's - just a few yards more distance. It is really unclear what market segment the i59's are being designed for. They sure look like an i500 variation and the most consistent knock on those is sound/feel. I'm guessing the i59's are also hollow body/forged face, perhaps with different steel. But, unless they fill with magic goo, I'm thinking that low scoring attribute may very well remain. sirchunksalot 1 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Currently Under Product Test)

PING G425 Series I've read up as much as anyone else on these things from what's out there on the inner webs, but I have to say.... those i59's have my eye... They WILL be tried and possibly find their way into my bag if they feel as amazing as they look. Just saying. fixyurdivot and sirchunksalot 1 1 Quote BNewt51 Golf Addict.... Father of 4.
