I think Game Golf is no longer in business.  @GolfSpy MPR and I think @edingc both used the device and could shed a little more light on the subject.

GAME is hanging on I think, the website still works and I can login.

If you can stomach a watch but don't want to pay for Arccos, I'd recommend ShotScope over GAME any day.

I'm not familiar with SkyPro.

I actually liked my GAME Live, which required manual tagging, but the platform is stagnant. Arccos and ShotScope have obviously passed them in terms of innovation.

Thanks for your feedback @edingc, I am hoping to be able to get either one of them for under $30 even though the platform is stagnant at the moment do you think that may be worth it at the price?

SkyPro seems to be a swing analyzer under the SkyCaddie brand, the kind that you attach to your shaft. It says there is putting analysis too so I may be leaning towards it because of that feature. But I am still on the fence.

Yep, like @edingc mentioned, some of the rumors of Game Golf's demise (which I mentioned here in another thread) seem premature. At the time I had posted that, GG's site had been done for a couple of days and it looked like they might have packed it in. That doesn't seem to be the case now, though, like edingc said, they haven't added any noticeable features on the data analysis side in at least a couple of years and have definitely fallen behind both ShotScope and Arccos on that side.

In terms of the question that @MyWifesSwingCoach is asking: the devices are doing very, very different things, and it's really a matter of what you need.

If you want to learn about your on-course tendencies, a system like Game Golf (or Arccos or ShotScope) is something I highly recommend. Even coming to a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your game is a huge help to knowing where you should be investing practice time. I can point to clear, objective data that tells me that my short game and putting are more than adequate for the golf goals that I have, but my full swing is clearly lacking. Arccos has made that abundantly clear.

But if you know you have some kind of swing fault that a swing analyzer can help you fix, those gadgets are also useful. I have not used the SkyPro, but I have used both Zepp and SwingByte, which are similar. If you know how to read that data and what it is in particular that you're trying to change in your swing, having immediate feedback (feel vs. real) is enormously helpful.

Because the two devices you mentioned don't really compete with one another, it's hard to say which is "better." It's a matter of which fulfills the purpose you're looking for in your game right now.

Good summary.

But to answer your question about cost, is GG Live worth $30? Probably. If only to get an idea of how far you truly hit your clubs on course.

My concerns with something like SkyPro are:

  1. Does it even provide accurate data? These types of analyzers (Zepp, Blast, etc.) all have seemed to fall by the wayside relatively quickly after release.
  2. Even if you have data, how can you apply it to your game? Trying to hit a particular angle of attack or club path may not improve your swing at all. If you're willing to spend money, I'd be more apt to recommend a lesson or two with a qualified instructor that uses Trackman, FlightScope or Foresight.

I purchased the SkyPro swing analyzer about 3 or 4 years ago and can't say it helped my swing at all.  It has pointed out some flaws in where my club is in the swing, but I was never able to use it to make me better.  My tendency is to take the club too far on the inside in the takeaway and then come slightly over the top in the early downswing.  It is easy to see that in the SkyPro app but that only told me what I already knew.  The SkyPro is not that well made.  The first one had to go back under warranty because it stopped charging.  The replacement did the same thing and SkyPro would not warranty the second one.  I had to open the device up and solder one of the battery connections back to the system board.

For me to feel the difference between a good and bad swing it is better for me to see it live.  The same amount of time using the Mirror Vision app would produce better results.
