HardcoreLooper
If I'm taking the grips off of my classic clubs, I'm wondering if these are worth a go. https://www.golfworks.com/prosoft-shaft-dampening-inserts/p/ps5000/ Caught some awful stingers when I played yesterday, and it's only getting colder here in VA. Anyone tried these? aerospace_ray 1 Quote What's in the bag: Driver - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Wood (13.5*) - 980F 4 Wood (18*) - F8 - Aldila NV Blue 60 ( S ) 3 Hybrid (19*) - RBZ 4i - PW - D7 Forged - Recoil 760 ( S ) 52* - CBX 58* - CBX Full Face 2 Putter - Craz-e Bag - 2.5 (Blue) Ball - AVX Instagram - @hardcorelooper Twitter - @meovino Facebook - mike.eovino
Siamese Moose
It was a very long time ago, but I thought they were a little help. They're basically the same as sensicore, maybe a little better. It wasn't enough relief for me, so I eventually went to graphite, but the inserts were cheap and easy to install. apexironman
I installed them in my 919F irons, and tested against my '76 Wilson Staff irons, makes a big difference when you catch it thin. aerospace_ray
I use them near religiously when playing steel shafts. Consider myself very sensitive regarding feel. And I like the ProSofts better than older Sensicore. Have friends/customers that can't tell a difference. Just an area where we each differ. Many just prefer to go graphite route and eliminate one extra variable regarding club makeup. dlow206
This stuff looks like backer rod that you can get to home depot, but it does say something about proprietary foam for golf. RI_Redneck
Give each shaft a good blast of WD40 before installing to prevent rust buildup. Shafts tend to rust really bad with these inserts for some reason. BT

Turn it so the spike end is curved towards the shaft wall then push down one edge to get it between the shaft wall and the foam. When fully down twist the tool so the spike is now into the foam and keeping pressure against the foam extract slowly till some of the insert comes out. Sometimes they can go all the way down f inside wall has grip solvent on it. Then I use the long special shaft drill 4ft or so and with luck it catches the insert and twists around the drill allowing it to be extracted. This will destroy the insert but they are cheap anyway.
