Mizuno es 21 Wedges

These just came in at Golf Tec, hit them in the bay yesterday and then took them out for a quick nine.  Had hit Callaway, Ping and Taylormade wedges last week.  The es 21 where heavier gave me an extra 5-10 yards over current wedges.  Very solid feel to these, the solid shots I hit on the course where great on line and held greens easily.  Hit a couple off the toe while they didn’t travel as far but still hit the greens.  Going back in to the bay today, unless something changes will pull the trigger on these.

I have one on order just to try out as it sounds unique.  I don't look for distance in my wedges, more so feel on greenside shots and the ability to spin/stop on shots inside 90 yards and in particular 30 to 40 yards.   Curious to give them a try.

LOl, well if there is, apparently you're first on the list.   There is a good chance it'll sit in the corner after some initial play.  I was just really curious and he made me an offer i couldn't refuse!

Some days, I don't think I'd do any worse from that side

Now that I have a few hundred (thousand?) left handed swings in the SuperSpeed sessions, I'd really like to find someone with LH clubs just to take a few rips and see what happens. There were times this summer the LH swings felt much more fluid than RH and the speeds were only a couple mph slower.

No on course experiecne with it yet, but just a variety of chips around the practice green, from some deep lie short sided type chips to some 20 yard chips across the green, it felt really really good.   Will be curious to get on course and see what type shots I paly with it and how it is out of the bunker.

We have pot bunkers at my home course, looks great hate getting in them.  I hit the 60 out twice just to see, and I loved them, got the ball out and good stops.  Also we have a dense "river" sand.  Cut through real well.  However did get a couple nicks in the black finish.  I figured that would happen.  Put the order in for a 60 and a 55.  They don't make it in a 50, kind of surprised.

I'm a little surprised they went with a gloss finish versus more of a matte look a la Jet Black SM8s.  How's the finish when the sun hits it?  Might sound like a goofy question, but I am gaming some satin chrome SM7s and I hate the near-blinding effect of glare from the sun during a morning round.
