edingc
Here's one thing I made yesterday that is vegetarian and could be made vegan - glazed carrots! These were carrots from my garden this year. Sous vide 2.5 hours at 185 degrees with 1/2 tsp salt, 1 Tbsp sugar (or sugar substitute for those of us who are low carb), 2 Tbsp butter (sub oil for vegan). I sous-vide'ed on Wednesday and then put them in the fridge overnight. To finish, dump the contents of the bag in to a skillet and saute until all of the liquid evaporates and the carrots began to brown. I add thyme and a little black pepper. Shortly before serving toss with a bit of lemon juice. GolfSpy_SHARK
Just caught up my google sheet if anyone is interested. Was logging daily but past 5 days to be expected were pretty busy. Week 2 recap is in there but overal I feel great and am definitely “groggy” when I am not eating a food meal. The past few days prior and after thanksgiving we had done quick meals and and ate out after Friday’s round. I can feel the difference even within a few hours. I am somewhat tired but I don’t think it’s the diet change it’s work is pretty busy and the holiday season sucks it out of me (get all our stuff done early so we aren’t rushing around later) Also had my first round and my first time swinging since starting this. Speed is still there and walking the course (fairly hilly) and didn’t break stride, felt good the whole day. Also built a frame for a swing yesterday with my dad and brother, no strength lost whatsoever. I think I would have been a little more sore as well after yesterday, could be nothing but could be something not sure. downlowkey, MattF, Vegan_Golfer_PNW and 1 other 4 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? Anything that changes at this point can be directly attributed to the diet change. Eventually the workout will be back in the routine but hopefully will see some good results before that point. GolfSpy_SHARK
Found this article interesting and cites research. Overall reduction in blood pressure/heart attack/etc etc. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/07/200724191441.htm Initial take on blood pressure is both systolic and diastolic have lowered. I took my BP at the same time I would at my annual doctors visit and after my normal breakfast like I would going to the doctor. I by no means like I have said before have an issue with my blood pressure and is very normal for my age but wouldn't mind lowering. I am "concerned" slightly about my LDL and cholesterol, not sure of any other way to take that other than my bloodwork on my physical so that will have to wait until next year. GolfSpy_SHARK
So today I saw another good size drop in weight. I dropped 2 lbs and am at 197 today. I am definitely eating less (still a lot because I love to eat) but again I am feeling fuller with better food. Been a wild week so we actually had Daiya Pizza last night and it was amazing. I was full after a half a pizza (not sure the diameter of these but its fairly small like any other oven pizza). I previously could easily eat a whole pizza myself put it that way. If you have not tried these pizzas highly recommend. GolfSpy_SHARK
I have been pretty good about sticking to the plan overall. Have had a few days where the wife and I have ordered out or the kids wanted something and we just were not in the zone to cook. Had Chinese last night but stuck to non meat stuff. did not see a big jump in weight this morning and feel good. long story short I think sticking to this vegan meal plan and still slipping occasionally works and I am seeing some really good results. For anyone looking into this and doesn’t think they can do it, you can even if it’s not 100% of the time it’s beneficial even if only for weight loss Crowev01, GolfSpy AFG and Rickp 3 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? And how are the BP and HR? So thanksgiving my son still had turkey but we did different veggies. Stuffing was still vegan. Mashed potatoes was plant based butter and oat milk. I prefer the oat milk and plant butters over the former. We actually had everything we would normally have besides French stuffing and turkey just prepared differently. BP has dropped and have only taken it once. I will take it again this Wednesday (trying to take it middle of the week, Monday and Friday’s are usually hectic so trying to get the even keel days) I would like to try to get my diastolic below 70. on the first post On this thread I have a link “follow progress here” At the top and it has a spreadsheet link for my day to day weight, weekly thoughts and weekly BP Crowev01 and GolfSpy AFG 2 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? Crust isn’t too bad but the cheese is honestly better lol Crowev01 1 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran?
