Testers ANNOUNCED Spornia SPG-7 Hitting Net

Recommended Posts

Charles / Winston-Salem, NC

I have used a hitting net in the past, but it was so much of a pain to assemble/disassemble that I gave it up for the practice range instead. This net being tested looks way easier to setup.

I have never really gotten into the launch monitor scene outside of the booths in my local golf shops.

Have You Ever Used a Hitting Net

Yes. My first 8 ft dome net lasted about 4 years but the support ribs snapped after being crashed under a ton of snow and ice about 2 winters ago. Just set up my new replacement dome net.

Do you use any sort of LM with one: Flightscope MEVO

I have never used a practice net before

I have also never used a Launch Monitor but if I win this I may need to get one to use this set up in my basement.

I used a hitting net all summer but it didn't last. I've ordered a SkyTrak, and just received a Realfeel golf mat so this would work perfectly in my new pole barn. The product looks great and would get plenty of use from my friends and family for evaluation.

I have used different nets in my indoor golf room over the years.  Currently, I have an impact screen and net hanging from the ceiling.

I do use a launch monitor from Ernest Sports.

I use a practice net frequently in the backyard. I have used it more and more with the purchase of a Mevo+ LM this spring. The current net I am using is a Rukket. My goal is set up a simulator in the garage this off-season so I am looking at options for netting and impact screens. I know the Spornia has an attachable impact/projection screen for some of their nets.  I have no other knowledge or experience with the brand.

I have used multiple hitting nets - I don't know if we're allowed to comment on which brands, so I guess you can edit if necessary.  When I was a newbie I got suckered by the 100% guarantee on the GoSports net.  After 3 replacements and a hole in my garage wall, I gave up.  I have switched to the Ruckets Hack net, and have had better results.  My current set up is a PolySpacer Impact screen from Spectrum Golf.  I set up the hitting bay exactly following recommendations (my contractor installed) but was shocked when after hitting just 15 clean balls into the net i was seeing massive scuffs and wear.  Currently waiting for a new impact screen from AllSportSystems.  Indoor practice and improvement thru analysis is a passion of mine and I would love to write a review for you on SPG-7 net.  The amount of time and effort I have put into trying to come up with a quality golf room is overwhelming, and the most frustrating issue is the lack of reliable information available.

I currently use a Skytrak Launch Monitor and have ordered the PGRG launch monitor as well (more for use as a radar speed sensor with the overspeed training...)

I do use a net (Rukket 10x7) but would like to find something that is smaller and also easier to set up and break down.

I have a Zelocity "The Radar" that I occasionally use.

I have never used any sort of hitting net. Until last winter, I lived in the Phoenix area so was always able to hit balls outdoors pretty much year round. I toyed with t he idea of buying a net last year but never did and was excited to start playing golf in the spring. Well, COVID made sure that that didn't happen so I began researching nets again. WIth most of the ones I liked being backordered (the Spornia included), I gave up. Now, heading in to my second winter, I have had plans of building a hitting bay in my garage. This would definitely be a better option.

I would like to use a LM in the future but have not used one to date.
