jayjay0808
So the wife is letting me have a man cave. I would like to add a putting green/mat in one area of it. I thought about getting a more permanent green but if we choose to repurpose the room in a few years for kids I don't want to deal with that mess. I was originally looking at Birdie Ball 4'x12' 1/2" thick with all the bumpers. However I am skeptical on the quality of the foam. I found Motivo TourFeel mats, it is 3'x12'. I really like the look of it but I would have to cut my own holes. I have also not been able to find any information or reviews on it. Budget wise I am trying to be somewhat price conscious so max of about $300 Could the MGS community steer me in the right direction? cnosil
Thank you! I saw this previously, I am trying to dive into the Motivo a little more which wasn't featured.Looks like basic artificial green turf. You could look at places that sell artificial turf and see how the price compares to motive. In my opinion since you aren’t looking for holes or anything special, just find turf that matches the speed you want. The problem with most home greens is the limited distance and lack of putt varieties. Headhammer
I've had a Big Moss 6'x10' for 5 years, use it almost everyday and it still looks brand new. They have a number of greens under $300, perhaps the Augusta at 4'x12'. https://www.golfgearbox.com/collections/indoor-putting-greens/products/big-moss-the-augusta-412-indoor-putting-green Quote Driver: Speed Zone 9* HZRDUS Smoke Yellow Shaft 3 Wood: King Speedzone 13.5* HZRDUS Smoke Black Shaft 2 & 3 Hybrids: Speedzone Recoil 480 ESX Shaft Irons: Speedzone 5-GW Recoil 460 ESX Shafts Wedges: PM Grind 54* & 58* Putter: Dual Force Rossi II Ball: Whatever I find in the woods HCP:
WaffleHouseTour
If you aren’t looking for a permanent solution (like the ProPutt with the flooring base etc to build a floor across your room) then you really should check out the BirdieBall. This was my official review here - and there are four other reviewers with lots of Picts and details to consider You don’t have to be concerned about the foam. At all. It’s very sturdy and bounces back. They have figured it out. And you do want a little extra width - 4 ft is nice. Happy hunting. Harpua728
I went with the Perfect Practice putting mat after going back and forth between the Big Moss greens and Perfect Practice. I absolutely love it so far, and use it every day in my home office. The promo code "15OFF" is posted all over Instagram, and gets you 15% off your entire purchase. I think it was 20% around the holidays. https://www.perfectpractice.golf/?ref=15off MaxEntropy

DiscipleofPenick
Those come in different speeds, correct? Which do you get?I got the medium speed. Which they refer to as private course and they say it's a 10 or 11 stimp. And it really is faster in one direction than the other. Also, I'm glad I got the middle one because I was thinking of getting the fastest, but this is plenty fast. Goes to show how slow greens really are at most public courses. Bluesman57
Santa got me this Big Moss putting green for Christmas: Big Moss Original It is sturdy and *heavy*, and based on its surviving unscathed an attack by my 90 pound hound mix attempting to scratch his way through it, pretty bulletproof.
