Well I'm a common slut I change my clubs weekly, I'm into experimenting because I have so many clubs.. At the mo I'm trying out some old Ram blades small heads to help with ball striking, there was a time I couldn't afford to have 2 sets of irons now I've got SIX and 10 drivers plus a dozen 3 and 5 woods possible there's more. Can't decide some days what to put in play, ...

I’m a hacker who loves nothing more than to change how I play, be that grips shafts and heads its all fair game lol…

I try all kinds of stuff, but go with what works.  Example, my 4 hybrid.  I have tried all the new stuff and not one can compete with my ball speed and trajectory of my Taylormade SLDR.  My 5 wood is from 2004.  My 3 wood is currently an old J33 while my TSi2 is being taught a lesson after the tee shot it hit Monday.  🙂  It caused one of 2 bogeys.  hahahaha

Callaway and/or Odyssey.   Might move my Odyssey putter into the bag and the Paradym is on my shortlist of drivers.

At the start of 2022 my entire bag was Cleveland. Now I just added an Odyssey putter, a Callaway driver, and Titleist wedges. Cleveland irons/hybrids still reign supreme in my bag. Callaway has the best chance of taking over brands in my bag.

Callaway driver is the only spot in my bag that's safe.  Everything else is up for grabs.  I have a PXG and Tour Edge 3 wood that are battling it out and it's possible that a third option takes over at some point.  An older Tour Edge 7 wood is most likely to be replaced although I'm not sure by what.  My Titleist hybrid, as well as my Cobra 5 and 6 irons, may come out of the bag depending on what I can come across.

Nothing specific in mind, just open to any bargains I may come across.  Also toying with the idea of a putter fitting and have no idea what that might reveal.

Cobra Aerojet Max 3 wood and 7 wood

Cobra Aerojet 4/5/6 hybrids

Cobra Aerojet 7-PW, GW

... Lately I have fallen under the spell of Taylor Made and Cobra. Didn't really think about it til this thread. To answer this question, everything but my MG3 wedges are subject to change IF I find something better. That is a big IF but I always keep an open mind. Best chance of being replaced is my Sim2 Max as I will certainly do some head to head testing with the Paradym, G430, Aerojet and TSR3/2. One of the things I learned going to demo day at the show every year is test everything you can because something out there that may be off your radar can really surprise you.

Currently my bag make up in terms of brands is as follows:

Nike: driver and 3 hybrid

Inesis: 4 wood

Takomo: irons, 4-PW

Vokey : 52 and 58° wedges

Cleveland: putter.

I might replace the hybrid one of these days as it's on regular shaft which is a bit too soft for me to control... Then I'll possibly have 6 brands in the bag as I'm thinking TM or Ping for that new hybrid (or utility iron).

Aim small... pray to miss small

My bag: Ping hoofer lite. My driver: Nike Vapor Pro. 4w: Inesis 500. Hybrid: Nike Vapor Flex. Irons (4-PW): Takomo 301 combo on KBS tour X. Wedges: Vokey SM7 52° and 58°. Putter: Cleveland Classic HB1. Balls: Inesis Tour900 yellow.

Stuck on and satisfied with Taylor Made 1 and 3 woods, Cobra 5-6, and 7-8 woods and Cleveland wedges.  Kirkland and an old Ping A-blade putter.  But the irons have to change - again.  But they are 6 years old.  What can I say - technology changes

Yes. Actually a few years ago I had a G400 in the bag. I really love the Srixon ZX5/ZX7 Combo irons that I have. I had a 3 year period of a mixed bag: Taylormade woods, Adams Hybrids, Mizuno Irons, Vokey Wedges, Odyssey putter. But I am so OCD, it drove me crazy! I’m a club Ho, so I hit everything. I really liked the Stealth and G425 drivers. The Mizzy HMB’s were almost in my bag. But I can’t find anything that performs for me like my 714 AP2’s.

Been a mixed bag person from day one.  Original bag was a hodge podge of Northwestern, Lynx, Spalding, MacGregor.  Still a mix - current bag is two brands: Ping G400 driver, 3&4 hybrids, G410 3w, Callaway Diablo Edge 5-Pw, Ping Eye 2 GW (50.5) and SW (56.5) and Callaway Odyssey Versa Putter.  Tomorrow it could be the Cleveland wedges, SLDR irons, TA 845s, Vokey wedges, Callaway X series irons, Tour Edge Bazooka hybrids in any combination…..I am so fickle.

WITB? Ping G400 SFT w/Aldila Mamba shaft R flex; Ping G410 3w; Ping G400 3h(19), 4h(22), 5h(26); TaylorMade SLDR 5i (interchanges w/5h)-PW -stock graphite shafts Rflex; INDI FLX-S wedges (50, 54, 58) w/Recoil graphite shafts -Rflex and Odyssey AI-One 7T BD Milled (aka Millie), ball choice tends to be Pro-V1 or simliar 3pc urethane balls.

The TSR2 15* in the bag already, the TSI2 7-wood is my favorite club in the bag. I am interested in the TSR hybrids when they come out, but if it’s only a marginal difference, then I’ll leave the TSI in the bag. I’ve always found Ping hybrids easy to hit , so I’m really interested in the 430’s when they come out. I have a 19* 410 in the backup bag that I like a lot.

I have had a lot of Taylormade recently, only because I have a friend who is the rep, so I get his friends and family discount code. However, I am going to get fit for a new driver soon, and don't expect to go with Taylormade. I switched to the M5 from a Nike, and have never got along with it like I hoped.

I tend to go with whatever seems to work best on demo, or that I get fit to. Then, once I find something that I really like, it sticks around for a long time unless I feel I would gain a significant advantage from something new. Hence my bag has some stuff that has stuck around for a long time.

Driver: Ping G425 LST, Otto Phlex UST MP5 or GD AD-TP 6X

3 Wood: Nike Covert Tour (@16 deg), Fujikura Motore Speeder

5 Wood: Nike Covert Tour (@20 deg), Fujikura Motore Speeder

4i Hybrid: Titleist 913h (@24 deg), Diamana Blue Board hybrid

Irons: Taylormade P790 (5-6) & P770 (7-AW), KBS C-Taper 130x (Soft-stepped 1x)

Wedges: Taylormade MG3 TW grind 56 (@55) & 60, KBS C-Taper 130x (Soft-stepped 2x)

Reading the different logic we all have about what makes our bag work has been an interesting thread.  Wonder how many actual data points that became on some marketing guys desk!

I bought my first set of clubs 55 years ago when there were not the choices we have now.  A set was a set.  I was a renegade though as I had a set of Ram woods with Spalding irons.  $70 for a set of Ram 1-3-4-5 laminated malpe woods and $100 for the Spalding 2 through PW.  That kind of numbering in a set doesn't exist anymore.  All irons were forged and had taper tips with a std size Golf Pride Victory grip.  Everything was forged.  Investment cast and game improvement we're not part of the vocabulary yet although Ping irons were just around the corner.  My SW was single $40 purchase - an Acushnet (now Titleist).  Putter was a $10 Wilson 8802.  Fourteen clubs for $220.  Half the cost of a driver now.

But those were the days.  To be honest?  Those clubs made the game hard!  Technology and combinations of equipment and components has made it easier to play even though I'm 55 yrs older.  I don't think I could play the game now with those clubs. But I do still have that sand wedge.
