I voted 4, but I'm toying with adding in a different wedge or two, which will give me a new brand and separate my putter from my wedges.

Honored to make my debut post on MGS. 🤣

I'd say give or take 8 ~ 10 brands in my bag at a time.

Well I guess if you count the shaft brand and grips then.... maybe that makes it more idk🤷‍♂️

My total count is dropping and based on thoughts might go down again.  Put Vokey wedges in my bag a few weeks ago and as is being  done by a lot of people I’m looking at the TSR drivers to see if it can beat out the Ping G400; which might be getting to the age that something else might be able to knock it out of the bag.

brand count now at: 4

Currently 3 brands.

Taylormade for Driver, Fairways, and hybrid.  Also Taylormade putter.

Iron set is Cobra, but Cleveland for wedges.

However, I might be going to 4 as I'm looking at a PXG putter this offseason.

I have 4 different brands in my bag, but I only carry 11 clubs. I never think about the brand when getting fit honestly. I’d mix iron brands into a set if I hit them well. I feel more comfortable being underestimated rather than overestimated based on my bag so I ain’t going out of my way to match anything.

Sort of relatedly, I wish that I could play clubs that didn’t advertise the brand so loudly. I think the minimalist branding on the older Titleist stuff, like the DCI blacks were great, and I’m loving that the last two driver lines have been minimal. I don’t like where ping is right now. I especially don’t like the huge fonts on golf bags, and headcovers, no offense. They aren’t paying me after all.

What Mizuno irons you play? I've not seen many people play Mizuno, New or older set? I recently got a mixed set of MP32 and MP57, actually hit them better than my T200 irons dispersion wise...

Callaway Mavrik Driver
MaxFli Black Max 3W, 5W, 3H (these are the next to go)
Callaway Mavrik Irons 4-AW
Wilson Harmonized 56 degree
Mizuno 0702 putter ($2 at Goodwill) I just put in the bag yesterday to replace an Amazon special G2 sport

I'm cheap, so I like the deals at CPO and will likely end up with a Callaway fairway and hybrid at some point.

Update to the Bag ending 2022 and headed into 2023:

Driver - Flips back and forth between Ping 425 LST 9* Driver and my Titleist TSI3  Depends on the swing and how it's going.

3 Wood - TSI2  Old reliable

3 Hybrid - TSI2  Just love the height and stopping power of the thing.  Versatility as well.

4-GW - T-100s Irons - Late season addition that HAD to go in the bag.  These things are amazing.

54 and 58 - Jaws Raw wedges.  They honestly are just so playable out of all the wedges I've tried and tested.

Putter - Flips back and forth between my Cameron Special Select Squareback and my Betty QB8 303S.  Betty got more play time this because my distance control and feel with that thing are just amazing.

Bag - Titleist Hybrid 14 Grey and White stand bag.  Long time Ping Hoofer guy, but this thing is just so sweet.

Balls - Pro V1x  Added spin, fighting ability and overall feel are just amazing.

My bag has changed to yesteryear clubs, ..

Driver Mizuno MP Type 2 H-smoke reg shaft

Callaway 3 Hybrid 17deg reg shaft

Callaway Razr 9wood 24deg Nickent reg shaft

Nickent 6DX irons 6 7 8 9 -Pw reg graphite shafts

Nickent 3DX Hybrid 10iron=gap wedge reg shaft

Daiwa Protege pw sw reg shaft

Ping putter......

I was playing Titleist T200 Irons but couldn't score like I thought I should so sold, I play well with Nickent but I believe it's the shaft which is graphite speed rated "sr2" 85+ mph swing speed. It's worked for me in the 3DX so I've tried them in the 6DX and they work in these heads as well, I've set them up different soft stepping as the shafts came from a set starting with the 5 iron which went into a 6iron. And so the 5-6-7 iron shafts went into the 6-7-8 heads while the 9 10 pw have normal shaft setups because I didn't have a 8iron in the original set lol, that's my bag for the foreseeable future....

Just two, Titliest and Mizuno. I have tried to expand but when I test Titliest vs other brands they have never beaten except for when I tested TSI 2 Driver vs. the Mizuno STG 220. I was getting more distance with less spin.

I also do play the Maxfli Tour CG in regular play to save money vs. Pro V1. I see very little difference in performance.
