I was just updating my signature and realize that I'm up to 7 different brands in my bag.

This wasn't intentional and just happened. I don't really have much allegiance and don't fault those of you who do; I *wholeheartedly* believe in the play-your-game-whatever-works-for-you concept.

This is my <current LOL!> breakdown:
TourEdge (driver)
Cobra (3W)
Callaway (SuperHybrid)
Titleist (hybrid)
Srixon (irons)
Cleveland (wedges)
Bettinardi (putter)

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, but out of curiosity, how many brands have you used or are using at one time?

After a 14yr layoff, I made a big mistake cuz I needed clubs and had to have them right away, so I bought as if I would have 20yrs ago. I bought straight Titleist TSi3 products … cuz i loved my old Titleist Titanium woods and T100 lites. I bought TSi3 built to old specs, not fitted: Driver, 3 & 5 woods, plus 3H & 4H and guessed at shaft based on comparisons I read. Now though, I wish I would have had them fitted … maybe even mixed TSi products. I did get a new shaft fitted for my driver. But, if push comes to shove, I like my Callaway ApexPro 19 hybrids, more than the TSi3s … just feel like I get them up easier … no distance differences. So my loyalty has waned. King Cobra One Length irons, Taylormade Spider putter, Callaway PM grind wedges. And I still look at friends hitting Callaway or Ping drivers wondering whether I might like them as well. I think maybe wanting the next best thing is a disease ... or club envy maybe.

I have Ping irons, driver and fairway metals.  My departure from Ping is my PXG putter.  I like it too much to part with it.

Started playing late in life, but as I got older I found that golf is a much better activity than a lot of things old folks get into, plus I meet some of the nicest most interesting people!

A few years ago, I had a mostly Cobra bag. But today I have

  • Cobra Driver
  • PXG 3-wood
  • Cleveland Hy-wood
  • Cobra Hybrid
  • PXG irons
  • Taylormade Wedge
  • Callaway Wedge
  • Edel putter ... with a Tour Edge Grip.... does that count as 2?
  • Srixon ball

So that's at least 6 brands in my bag.

8 if you let me count the putter as 2 and the also count the ball.

I got a bag full of Cobras.... Well, not the putter... yet.

It always seems to vary - mostly depending on the putter in the bag. But with the purchase of Sub70 Irons, Ping, Callaway, Edison, SeeMore, balls Maxfli, Titleist, Bridgestone

I feel like I become a brand loyalist pretty quickly. As an example, several years ago I had Cobra driver, fairway and irons. It was almost like I gravitated towards the symmetry. I realize it is better to just get the best fit of each club type but there are so many options out there now sometimes it helps to slim down the choices. Currently, I am a bit more diverse: Cobra Driver, Taylor Made 5 Wood, Pinhawk (components brand) hybrid, ben hogan irons, ben hogan GW and 54*, ping 58*, seemore putter. So 6 brands in total. Not bad?
