JeremyD
I have 4, or 3 if you group Callaway and Odyssey together. At one point I had only 1 brand. Titleist from Driver through putter. Quote When my wife asked if I wanted to leave Maine and move to where she grew up, I couldn't say no to Pinehurst, NC. I honestly don't spend much money on golf equipment, but I'm constantly reading reviews in case I ever get ready to buy I swing left handed and have been the State of Maine Left Hander's champion since 1997, the last year they held the tournament. Gil B
I've been a Cleveland Golf loyalist for over 20 years. The driver, irons, and wedges will get changed out every few years but the fairway woods, the old Launcher metalwoods with the small heads(circa 2005) are still in my bag as I can't find anything better in terms of feel and confidence. The putter on the other hand is the older Ping Anser 2 and that stays as well.
Beakbryce
Callaway woods, hybrids and irons. Vokey wedge. Ping Answer putter. I am out there for fun and sun. There might be a better club set that would by club go 5-20 yards farther and straighter, but my free time is spent playing golf. Fittings, practice, club switching, just seems like so much effort. Let's face it, a fitting is one moment in time. To really be effective, wouldn't you really need one a month for 2 or three months? Don't know about you, but every club has a new club period of awesome production and then the club realizes your return period is over. I guess if you have the money and are willing to spend it on club purchases all year... Rather play 3-6 times a week. At 69, when I get shorter, I'm moving up. One guy in the group has already done this. If I was still rules bound and trying to be a club pro, maybe all the effort would be useful. Aim small, miss small. KC Golf
I guess I may have too few brands compared to the MGS average, I am right now Titleist, Haywood and TaylorMade. I was mostly Titleist with a couple of TaylorMade wedges before. I am going to try some Mizuno, Haywood and Srixon irons and compare them to see if they are better than T200 set. Will also start looking closely at lighter stuff shafts and will get fitted for them.
