i say wear what you like. you’ll find people here wear everything from jordans to golf sandals. i like the nike roshe.  they’re light and comfy

since you asked for thoughts - those go against two of my rules

1. jordan’s that aren’t high tops

2. golf shoes that aren’t low tops

I have the Jordan 5s right now. I also have the Air Force 1 and air max 90s spikeless that came out a few years ago I use for indoor practice. I wish Nike had more classic shoe options with cleats though. I hope to get a Jordan 4 for golf one day

there are spike kits that convert any sneaker you want into golf cleats. from the reviews i’ve read they seem to work pretty well

I use to only wear FJ  shoes with spikes. On a whim I bought of pair of FJ XP Superlites. The most comfortable golf shoes I've ever worn - I love these shoes and priced right at 99.

Thus far it's been a toss up between the FJ DryJoy Tour and Adidas 360 Tour Boost. I walk mostly, and the Adidas are the most comfortable shoes underfoot, but kinda ugly too, at least to my eye. The DJTs are not as cushy, but the stability and aesthetics are better. I had a pair of FJ Icon MyJoys for a little while this fall (see below). They were pretty comfortable underfoot, but the shoe proved too wide in the end, and I returned them. However--and I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder--they looked boss indeed:

Vs are too tall for me to golf in, I returned them after some shadow swings in the living room. XI lows probably the only J that has transitioned into golf with any reasonable level of execution. The Jordan releases just never seem to get it right for me. Either the execution is bad, or they do something dumb with the colorway to stray away from the OG, it's weird. Sole swaps always look like buttcheeks, but for people who don't care about it being the way it's supposed to be, just with soft spikes or the spikeless golf sole, I guess it works. I've been wearing J's since I was a kid begging my mom for them in '96 and I collect them for the nostalgia, so when it's not the same, it's a miss for me.

Black Cement IIIs are probably the only pair that I really want to be released by Jordan Golf.

AM 1's/90's and Roshes are probably the only really impressive Nike sneaker-turned-golf for me.

Im pretty oldschool.  I love my FJ Dryjoy Tours in croc.  Ive always been a fan of saddle shoes for golf.  Before my FJs, I had a pair of Sketchers that were more of a sneaker/tennis shoe style and they were OK but were kind of blah.

I have quite a few pairs, used to be an Adidas guy and don't have any. Any shoe with a hard heel are a no go.

My most comfortable pairs are Sketchers GoGolf and Footjoy Pro SL. I'm just about all spikeless too.

I'm addicted to the old Adidas Adipower 4orged.  I've been known to pick them up on eBay.

I've been working hard to avoid the Stan Smith's, but I'm going to break down sooner or later.  I lived in Stan's back in high school in the late 80s.

I'm not a sneakerhead by any means, but I was in a Goodwill auction for a pair of Golf le Fleur One Stars and got out around $150.  They went for well over $200.

I've always worn classic FJ spiked shoes, but I tried the Adidas CodeChaos spikeless last year and I don't want to wear anything else. Surprisingly stable, good traction (even when it's wet), dry and comfortable (I've walked 18 in them many times). I liked them so much I bought the same shoe in a different color. Boost is the bomb, my running/walking shoes are also Adidas with Boost midsoles. Adidas has moved on to other models/styles, but I'd buy the latest model CodeChaos 21s if I was buying. YMMV

I'm a walker 90+% of the time, and I've settled on TRUE's, for now.  Original 1.2's for full rounds - snug instep and good heel-lock, plenty of toe room.  Issue for some people is the "zero-drop", but I like the level feel and stability/balance.  No traction problems.  Will use the TRUE Knit IIs for a casual 9-holes, or if I need a break on an 18+ day.  They do not have as much lateral stability, and a slight transitional drop, but extremely comfortable.  I have a few other TRUE models but these are the favorites.  Waiting on a pair of the new "Sport" line - somewhat a blend of the two models.  I've tried FJ, Nike, ECCO, Athalonz, and the new Paynter.  And I wear custom insoles (SOLE) in all/any.

I have 2 pairs of True and they are comfy. My favorites are Sketchers and this year I got my first pair of Puma. The Puma have this kind of saddle that makes it tough to put on, but they are comfy and a great platform for stability.

I used to be a big Adidas guy but the last pairs I had were hard heeled and that's blister city. Never again. And the newest pair of FJ are already leaking even though it's been maybe half dozen rounds this year.

I do not know what they are in terms of comfort, but they look very cool. It seems that I would wear these all the time, but I don't want to buy a new pair of shoes yet. Last week, my long-awaited adidas yeezy arrived for me, and I think I will only wear them shortly. Although your option will obviously be next on my list, I do not know how to find such for the order. It would be great if you left some links to stores or something like that since I have no idea where to look for such a model

As a Golf Shoe Sneakerhead, I think the Nike Tour Premiere and the Nike Air Zoom 90 IT were some of the best looking golf shoes Nike has ever made.

As a regular sneakerhead, I have to say Brooks rocking the Off-White Air Max's was a great moment for Golf/Sneakerheads. I also love the Air Max 97 Silver Bullets, all of the jordan stuff, and I'm really hoping they make a mens Nike Cortez G. Love all the Nocta stuff too.

... Is there anything more personal in golf than shoes? We have a more varied walk than we have varied golf swings. Comfort followed closely by support are the most important factors for my golf shoe choice. I have found some cushiony shoes that were instantly comfortable, provided too little support and more importantly the cushioning broke down within a year. I walk 95% of the time and Ecco Biom Hybrid 3's were the first shoes that were comfortable right out of the box, provided excellent support and do not break down after several years. They are Gore Tex and waterproof for those that play in the rain or morning dew. I have 5 pair and will not need new shoes for many years to come.

Last year was the first year I tried a sneaker-style shoe, ever.  As in, for 33 years it was always a saddle.

I tried on and loved the Nike Air zoom infinity tours.  I liked them so much I bought a second pair...the seersucker PGA model from Kiawah because I'm a sucker for seer.  So a year later I tell myself what was I thinking not choosing a sneaker for so long.  It's amazing how much better my feet, legs and lower back feel after an 18 hole walk.

I'm all about the classic dress style shoe on the course... wingtips, cap toes, if I'm feeling wild and crazy I'll go with a saddle.  I have never been able to get on board with wearing tennis shoe style golf shoes on the course....  Probably because I have trouble matching them to my neck tie 😉

The Koepkas…Nike air zoom infinity tour is one I never expected to love.  Easily the most comfortable and stable golf shoe I have ever worn.  Now here’s the thing, I have a narrower foot and these fit like a soft glove.

I think if there was one shoe to lure me away from these, it’d be the 2022 Adidas 360’s but that would be more of a want rather than a necessity.

... I read where a marginally wise man said:

"Need…Want…I mean, those are synonyms in golf equipment purchases…"
