I have an iPhone 12max ... nice large screen. Once the MLM is turned on and Bluetooth paired, it’s quick. It knows my course gps location w/map, I get out of the cart first & start setting up, re-pair, orientate the hole which is just a quick swipe on the screen ... I’m doing this while everyone is jawing about the last hole or how to play the next hole or choosing a club - no real rush ... I put a tee in the ground like in a scramble & everyone drops their ball near it. I stand next to the MLM and they announce their club selection, then as they visualize their shot, I make a quick club selection on screen. It’s all fast & simple. The thing to remember is that MLM records everything as if it’s only me ...  but we can see who is in the video, and we know approx where each of us landed.  I can go back to a hole later, if we all hit different clubs it’s even easier. I click on a shot to pull up the video, and if Aiden wants a copy of the shot he hit on 17, I can dm share it with him. 

Granted, if you are a slow group you might catch hell from people. But then again, if play is slow and it’s not because of your group, you have lots of time to set it up ... But it’s quicker for me to enter each person’s club selection instead of them trying to get the camera to read their club ... I have not been able to get it to recognize my black finish irons, anyway. So if your are smart and considerate of others, I don’t see how it can slow you down. I believe it’s far worse when people are not ready to putt when it’s their turn.

I think I’ll stick to focusing on keeping the ball in plain sight on par 3’s though. I can’t get mine properly oriented on the range. It would become a real laugh riot were I to try and use it on the course like this. It would probably have all of us on a neighboring lanai. :)

Just wanted to update. I'm continuing to use the Rapsodo. I have been working on Monte Scheinblum's No Turn Cast video. Has been working very well for me. The MLM is helpful to tag the video with how the shot was, so when I come home I can compare what was a good swing and see if can see trends.

When I was doing the testing, my driver swing was horrible. I'm still working on it, but after a lesson and Monte's information go along with it, I'm trying to get more upright on my takeaway and get my arms moving in front of my chest more.

I was able to see getting my right arm behind and stuck on this swing from couple weeks ago

 

Working on my cues for range session today.  Worked through my wedges first

 

And slow 8 iron

 

Then driver. Wasn't doing well

 

Then with the real time video, I noticed I am very hunched over at address. Moved to more upright feeling (felt like standing up)

 

Definitely MLM is powerful, but finding more uses for it

Does anyone know how the ball you use reflects the rapsodo data? I know one local range uses lower flight balls (10% less distance, so they say) so if I hit those would the MLM show the real distance or the reduced distance the ball is actually flying?

Just picked up a used Rapsodo MLM yesterday from a friend.  Looking forward to getting it set-up and using it for range sessions with my wedges.
