Gapr --> u510

Currently have 4 Gapr mid and a 3 hybrid. Gapr goes about 210+ and 3 hybrid will go 230+. I've been thinking of getting a 3 u510 to hopefully go around the 220 distance and drop the two club in my bag as i find myself using the hybird less and Gapr as i find it easier to hit in the fairways.

 

Have any of y'all done this switch or what are your thought?

Both of those yardages off the deck correct and do u ever use either from the tee? Also what kind of trajectory/window are you trying to play in?

I think their is some merit to what your considering if you constantly having to decide between the 2 for which should go in the bag that day. Obviously I would still advocate for a professional fitting before buying to confirm you idea

I used to use the hybird a lot off the tee because my driving was horrendous. Now that I can drive it pretty far with accuracy and to add to it I’ve learned how to hit my 3 wood way better. I rarely used the hybird and prefer the Gapr since I get better trajectory.

I alternate between a GAPR Lo and a 3-iron, depending on the course, course conditions, and how I'm swinging it. If I'm really swinging it well, 3-iron gets the nod because it's good enough off the tee if I need something shorter than 240 and it's easier to hit off the deck. If I'm struggling, I'll use the GAPR because I'm only going to use it off the tee and it's a pretty reasonable fairway finder. YMMV

I switched from the GAPR Mid to the U510.

I'm still getting used to it, but the U510 certainly gives me extra distance and height when hit well.
