Either Trent or Randy at Windmill Training Center, but I'm leaning more towards Randy as I have played with one of his students and he gave me a rundown of how he teaches.

I took a driver lesson from Trent last year.

My main goal for next year is to go from a 4.5 hcp down to 3.5. A stroke might not sound like much, but when 5/6 last golf rounds have been in the 80s, it’s not going to be easy! I have to go from shooting 77 at the lowest to at least 76, and I have to have a VERY rare 80+. How do I do that? Well, keep going with my swing changes and my lessons, and use a soon-to-be lesson to work on my short game: chipping/pitching.
Next is improve my athletic condition via the TRX system, and stationary bike I just bought. Getting my legs and body in better overall shape will also help me to accomplish my above goal of dropping my handicap.
Last is to look at filling the gaps between my Driver and 4 iron more efficiently. I hit my 3w and hybrid too far. 4 wood and 22* or 23* hybrid are likely to replace the 15* TS3 fw, and the 20* X2 Hot Pro.

TRX is a great simple setup. Only thing I miss from the gym.
Will get back there when C19 has passed.

I really need to focus on my course management. I play the same course 90+% of my rounds, and I still put up too many big numbers and penalties. If I can get that under control I'll drop 4-5 shots a round.

I turn 40 this spring.  For the first time in my life I feel like I am focusing on where my limitations can become my strengths.  I have a bag that I am extremely confident with and finished my season with a +1 round with two birdies following 2 months off.  It's about playing smarter not stronger.  Goals for the offseason are in no order:

1) Be the best putter I can possibly be.

2) Play more with my dad.

3) Focus on placement of iron shots within a flight window.  This is what Collin Morikawa does, he hits the ball into a specific window when visualizing his shots.

4) Stay active with MGS.

My herniated disk feels good, I am running again on my treadmill and I now know where and how hard I can push myself. PT was good.

I love the Dad part... Best goal ever!

My 2021 goals are to get more social golf trips played.

In 2019 I had a great year playing in 7 individual open competitions and placing top 10 in 3 of them.

2020 I had a few planned (even got entry in the GolfSixes competition) but they all fell away.

2021 I've been asked to play in all our county pairs competitions with a friend and also enter the individual comps. I'm going to enter some individual opens and also some team events with guys from my club as the team stuff is just more fun to be involved with.

From a swing perspective I want to cement the feels I've been working on and trust the motion I have been building all year.

The driver lesson turned out great. He was somewhat familiar with my game/swing since I had a full bag fitting in 2019 and a follow-up iron fitting in 2020. Note: I did the driver lesson in conjunction with my iron fitting. Trent said he normally doesn't do instruction since he's so busy with fittings. He identified both a grip and stance issue right off the bat which immediately helped me square the face.

Not sure if you've had a fitting from him, but when my wife had her fitting, he was giving her minor tips/tricks that helped her game - so much so, that I considered it a fitting/lesson. Both of us have a very high confidence in his abilities. I don't know Randy so can't give you a comparison.

Windmill is an awesome place - even if you don't go for a lesson you should stop by. And bring lots of $$$. Hard to leave there without buying lots of stuff.

Oh, also...

Would really, really like to attend that Monte Scheinblum clinic with @Kenny B that got canceled this past April (stoopit [expletive deleted] bleeping BLEEP 2020).

And/or meet up for a round 🍻 ... oops, I mean a round ⛳🏌️‍♂️ with Kenny and/or other MGSers.

And take a golf destination trip .. or two! .. that we didn't this year (stoopit [expletive deleted] bleeping BLEEP 2020).

From what I'm hearing from my dad's assisted living facility, what we are seeing now is probably what it will be like next summer... even as the vaccine is being administered.  (stoopit [expletive deleted] bleeping BLEEP 2020)

However, I'm going to see Monte in the spring; not waiting another year.  His videos and Instagram posts have really helped me this fall and I need face time reinforcement.  It won't be my only visit!

I also forgot to mention that since my January 2021 trip to Palm Springs is canceled, I am contemplating a golf fly/drive trip later in 2021.  Not so much a golf destination trip, but an extended trip to many areas.  I have considered driving across the country like @fixyurdivot talked about this last year, but that might take longer than I want.  I have also considered flying to {insert location}, then driving from there.  Probably a few weeks, staying wherever I'm having fun.  For you older members... sort of a retired golfer Route 66.

Only been playing 5 months since I started again and I never have even broken 100(even years ago). My goal is to not just break 100 but do it consistently.

You'll hear a lot of great advice here on achieving that goal.

I know, I've been there quite a few times now. I was there the beginning of November (I think) for an evaluation on the Wilsons. I wouldn't drive up there just to hit balls because there's a range about 10 minutes from home, but it's certainly my place to go for club work or demoing clubs.

I've been going to Windmill Center for fitting and driving range. You can't beat the heated stalls and they are very patient with the fittings which have included multiple clubs, shafts and Trackman data. Can't wait to hit their short holes side to work on the wedges and putters this Spring.

Felt like some improvement here is 2020, hitting 5 of 14 fairways need to get that to 6-7

Never thought my driving distance was an issue till this year, 63 must be that age.  Definitely striking ball more solid off the tee in picking up 15 yards. In last 20 rounds. Golf coach at Golftec has been on me to cut the driver down 1/2 inch, just did this first of November.  Will see that affect, wondering if need to get some tape to balance driver

Some good some bad going on here, lag putting happy with that, good control of 3 putts.  In looking at my 10 foot and in putts that is the issue.  My stokes gained in that area - 3,9 vs nine handicap and and -4.3 vs a 7 handicap . Have to Work on those 10 footers can be the biggest area for improvement.  This will be an area to concentrate on in 2021.  Will say that in the fall did a putting fitting and started looking fo new putter.  Think I have settled on the Taylor Made

This area could also be costing me strokes on the green leaving the chips short inside 25 and missing 24% of greens from 25-50 feet. While only costing me -.3 strokes gained.  Although I do feel my club’s greens are big so easier to hit.

Good results here hitting those at end of year goal last 10.  Want to cut the Short shots percentage down would be happier with that being half and increasing long at it’s expense. So getting ready for 2021 replaced 13 year Mizuno MP-57 with there new JPX 921 Hot Metal Irons. Replaced my mishmash of wedges that where 2-8 years old with new Mizuno E21s.  Have only been able to 9 holes with these before the holidays and weather.  So real excited to see how that will change the approach and short game.  My Golf Tech instructor is moving on so new swing coach after the first of the year, will be interesting on how we mesh am more than hopeful for good results.
