What MGS Forum Tests do we want?

Recommended Posts

Our Sponsors

I was curious what products would you want MGS and brands to try to have testers review?

2020 may not have been the best year but MGS has killed it with the forum test opportunities. Titleist, Cobra, Ben Hogan, Wilson, Honma, Nets, Putting Mats, Mobile Launch Monitors etc.

Hopefully this can give MGS some proof to brands about what the forum members are hoping for.

Has anyone tried the Mokom golf glove? This looks real interesting. I know we just tested gloves but this one got rave reviews at the PGA show. Most unique glove I have ever seen.

You can see them at  www.mokomgloves.com

They are supposed to give you better feel and great for hot weather. They have circular cut outs in the palm, fingers and back of the glove. If I wasnt on this darn tablet I would copy and paste the image. I tried but this is not cooperating with the technology challenged user.

As a lefty I want more testing on things like shoes (currently doing Squairz testing) , rangefinders, and other golf good that are not clubs. With that said I do like the club testing done by members that are not pros and give honest feedback.

It would be cool if they did a lefty test or atleast an article limited to only clubs available in left handed

No but I more meant an article that is designed to only display clubs that have a left hand option.

I think MGS does a great job choosing equipment to review so I couldn’t come up with anything until this ^^^. I found a forum thread but I’d love to see MGS evaluate the L.A.B. Directed Force 2.1 putter just because it’s so different. There’s no shop near me that has one to try. I do play with a guy who uses one and swears by it, even though he’d be the first to admit it’s ugly. But if you make more putts, I can overlook the appearance.

I’d like to see more in depth testing on the techie side of things - seems like Most Wanted articles for things like GPS, launch monitors, lasers are far short on detail.  Might as well be a Golf Digest most hot 100 list 🙄

Testing these things to a known yardage, see who can get the closest.  Not ranking a LM highly?  Great, tell us why instead of just a score that has no meaning.

Show us the data!

Both buyers guides for GPS and Lasers provided reasons for the rankings, beyond the scores.  But beyond that they were ranked top to bottom in several metrics.   Don’t know what more you could want.

I would like them to add in some sort of customer service ranking to the technology testing. All great products can have an issue. How they take care of you when something happens matters. So if it ranks #1 but 10 in customer service, I'm going with something else.

Great point. A good example Is the "most wanted" for LRF: Bushnell was at the top for product quality/features. However, based on a number of negative comments I've seen for Bushnell on the forum, their customer service doesn't appear to match or be as good as PrecisionPro or Nikon.

Exactly! Thats why I went to a TecTecTec Laser Range Finder and their GPS watch.  Excellent customer service. Precision Pro was my next choice.
