RickyBobby_PR
Paddy has spent some time with GG. what he talks about is why I think guys like GG, Bradley Hughes, Monte, Chris Como, and a few others do a good job in their teaching. There’s some others out there that talk about pressure and using it for the swing. Long offseason(s) goal Yea, I'm aware of the need to clear my left side/hip and sometimes make the raised right hip in forcing it. Use his tip about driving the left knee towards the right foot on the backswing and the right towards the left foot on the forward swing. I find that helps me a little. It feels so natural when you make the moves correctly but doing it consistently is challenging. Wildthing
Although Padraig has tried to explain the hip movement in his own style , there is an alternative theory that could explain the 'what/how' is happening from an anatomical standpoint (but it will take a lot of mental stamina and further investigative work to understand the function of the muscles being discussed). Once you have committed several hours reading through it all in detail you will have (in my opinion) a better appreciation of how the pelvis moves in pro golf swings. http://www.perfectgolfswingreview.net/pelvicrotation.html The above article is complemented in the below video https://youtu.be/gsX-o6ZWeOw PS. There are some TGM references at the start (for 1st 4 mins) regarding power package and intact flying wedges (which you might not agree with from a theoretical perspective) but then he goes into more detail on the pelvic movement. GolfSpy_SHARK
Well these videos were pretty helpful. This has been a struggle for me all year and I apparently do the "worst thing in a golf swing to do" because I thrust my hips forward through my swing and am losing a lot of power (amazing I can still swing fast). This like @rbsiedscsaid is an offseason NEED for me. I have to clear this issue up, but I have been swinging like this for years and is difficult. @Wildthingthat video is great and will be using that thank you. heavygolffeels
This is a great video. Watch this and Malaska's lead hip back video with Eric Cogorno, and enjoy.
