Exactly, there are some solid players out there who are having quietly good (fantasy) seasons and some names (I bring up english again) who have struggled and Woodland is another. Of course with gains in FedEx and fantasy points they can climb up, but at least for getting into playoffs depth can be very valuable. I'm learning there is a balance in having top players and guys who will simply play and make cuts to gain points on more of a week to week basis. 

Of course some people will disagree with some of the numbers or rankings and there is nothing wrong with that. Watching and listening to a lot of fantasy football analysts they will value players all over the place and that's fine. When it comes to this it just helps sort and not rely soley on names of players.

I personally think there needs to be some tweaking to the data. OWGR should probably count for a little more, as that takes someone like Hatton or Rory or DJ who are struggling a bit more credence because they can pop off at any second. I think this is darn good though.

OWGR is a hard one to quantify. Personally I think it has way more value at draft time and early season. As we go along in the season it, again for me, has less value. 
I am a little more of what have you done for me lately (minus Fowler) so although those guys do have a lot of value I would argue they are in a decent spot. DJ and Hatton haven't played a lot of events in our season so far and I think that factors in as well.

That's fair, but does the formula base things on fantrax points or fantrax rankings? If it is based on points it would naturally value OWGR less as the season progresses, but if based on rankings it will not. I think. It would take trial and error to check I would suppose.

It does take points into account (from the start of our season Jan 28th). It takes 2 Fantrax numbers: Total points scored *top 300 and Points per event *top 300. I am sure we can tweak the numbers as we go along. I picked those numbers and calculations based on my gut feeling and more or less how I value those rankings. 
Although it takes their points into consideration it is their ranking within their point totals... EG Spieth has the most points scored this season so he is gets 300 points which is devalued down to 285 (95% of total). For world ranking still 300 are awarded to top spot, but are awarded 80% of 300 so a max of 240. PPE is much less same 300 and 20% because there are some random players who play 1 event and do well, so it helps with some artificial rankings. 
Of course we are open to adjusting, what would be a more fair number? Again this was done based off my gut and how I felt the rankings should be best valued.

When discussing a trade last night with @Camcmart he asked me if I still based my value off of owgr primarily and this was my response 

Not 100% going by OWGR. A lot is on feel, then OWGR, then FedEx points, and lastly if I'm unsure I think what can I get in trade to make me sure lol

A lot of it is just gut feelings along with how you like players. I know that someone like P. Reed is a great golfer and good fantasy player, but I am just not a fan and would rather have guys I enjoy rooting for and watching. Part of the reason I wanted Fowler back after trading him away and would like to get Hatton back after my deal for Finau that he was involved in. Sometimes you can see trends with players, but a lot of it is just gut feelings. 
Oh and a good way to value players who won't do well is watch the NLU Draft Kings specials... they almost never hit on guys ever so they are a bad luck charm.

I have made a lot of really fair requests and have even been told so by the other team but I can't get any bites lately. According to the trade chart I would be losing by a good margin on some of the trades I've offered and still nothing. I should be satisfied with my team with all the winning they're doing but I have the itch to trade!

Fantasy golf is so frustrating. I really thought I had a good core of players and do good weekly substitutions but can manage to get many weekly wins.  I just don’t have the vision that some of our trade geniuses have to think three trades down the road.   I look at my players and where they stand  but I just can’t figure out the right strategy.  I know, it isn’t supposed to be easy but it needs to be easier

I was sinking to the bottom of the standings a few weeks ago, I was 43rd after week 6 and my team was constructed similarly to yours. I went out and got as many guys making cuts and averaging 40 points or more as I could. It cost me most of my free agent dollars but I'm now in 8th and have gone 47-3 the last 5 weeks. I've been looking for teams not in the playoff cut line to make deals with and pass some of the guys that have carried me on to them in exchange for a lower high-tier player but so far everyone is content with their roster. I've tried to trade 2 of the league's top scorers and there is zero interest in them.

I have tried to make trades with teams around the cut line and below as well. Of course I mention any specific names, but there are some teams that aren't very active or acknowledge trades so it can be difficult in that way as well. 
I am trying to make some smaller moves, but I'm pretty happy to hold tight for the next little while and see how things play out. I am really curious how Fitz and Fowler are going to do and believe they could make or break my run. Fitz is having a awesome season and been getting great points when he plays, but in the end how much will he really be worth in a trade or will he make the top 30 and be someone to hold onto? 
Fowler I just want to see improve I don't see him being a part of the playoffs, but one can hope!

Keep in mind peoples value of players is still subjective and although this list really does help doesn't mean everyone will value players the same way.

This whole chart is amazing. I was using the old one too and really like how easy it is to navigate. I noticed a small discrepancy when looking at this awesome data. Compare Cameron Tringale and Colin Morikawa. Tringale has scored more Fantrax points YTD whether you start at the beginning of the golf season (684.8 vs 546.85) or the beginning of our fantasy season (405.35 vs 250.5), but Morikawa is getting more points in that category.

We'll take a look at it and see why that is. Thanks for pointing it out! Glad you like the sheet and are finding it useful. Nice to know there are people using it or at the very least looking at it.

One thing to look at Josh, and I will check the data that is uploaded, we sorted our data from when the league went live, Jan 28th until now, it can be the reason for the difference between the points, but for sure we will review and make sure of the accuracy of the points given there.

I was going to just post that, but I just figured out that it was a copy and paste error on my side.

I will update the sheet with the correct values here shortly.

Updated, it was my mistake on that one, did not sort the data correctly prior to paste it on the sheet.

I pasted the PPE data on the Fantrax season data by mistake.

There seemed to be more missed short putts today than I can remember of any recent event.  Overall, just a lot of not so stellar play. Harman had a tale of two nines... he had me worried for a little bit.  With Webb having WD, I started with 6 and got 4 into the weekend... Whewwww.
