You get points for having a player that participates in a playoff. So yes that’s an advantage. But holes played in playoffs don’t count towards official stats so they don’t count towards fantasy either.

Well it was a good run, but with Reed pulling out with PNA, I couldn’t hang around as strong as others. Goes to show you, you should never trade with @blackngold_blood because it just gives him the upper hand in the end

From my quick math you are in.  Nobody behind you outscored you this week and you outscored 4 of the 5 guys ahead of you by more than you trailed them entering the week.

We're leaving together... but still it's farewell

So, all of this, all the trials, tribulations, ups, downs, sideways, playoffs, cut lines, FedEx Cup races, majors, etc... has come to this. The Tour Championship is next week and with it, the crowning of not only the FedEx Cup champion but the crowing of our champion as well. It may seem a foregone conclusion to some, but there are challengers ready to try and chase down the leader.

That leader, well it's @blackngold_blood. Leveraging his trade acumen, and his incredible regular season to a 50 point advantage, he hasn't slowed down in the past two weeks, earning the third most points in the playoffs so far, giving him a 32.1 point lead over second place.

Who is this second place? It's yours truly. Racking up 533 points during the playoffs, the most so far, I've found myself in with a shout, the only player who didn't receive bonus points to make the final event.

The top five is rounded out by @xOldBenKenobiX who won this week with 288.9 points, moving into third, 48.3 points from the lead. Then in a near dead heat @Josh Ross and @Lacassem in 4th and 5th respectfully 56 and 57 points back.

The remaining top 10 in order are @revkev, @GolfSpy_APH, @Rwagn4, @STUDque and @Mtbryant01. Might be hard for them to get to the lead considering they are between 62 and 81 points back, but stranger things have happened.

For those wondering how the bonus points have worked, 4 of our top 5 teams in the regular season have made the final with only @ZJBogey2 missing out. Also for those wondering the cut, 11th place belongs to @the_hammer who finished 11 points out of the top ten.

So yes, it is the final countdown, but don't etch a name on that trophy yet. With enough roster differential between the top 5, it's still anyone's competition.

I managed to get 6 through thanks to Van Rooyen but as Ryan said it is far from over.  If scores continue to stay low like the last 2 weeks it is anybody’s title at this point.  I won’t lie, I do like my chances but will still be sweating it out with anticipation. Luckily there are a couple Fantasy Football drafts in there to help take my mind off it for a little bit. Good luck to the other 9. One more week left.

Like I said, there's enough difference in the rosters where it's possible. All teams will have at least 4, most have 5 or 6. A lot of it is going to depend on how those with the stroke advantages play. If they play well, it opens up avenues for a few teams that have Cantlay, Finau, DeChambeau, or maybe two of them. If Rahm plays well... it's a bad sign for chasers

I have not crossed reference with all rosters as of yet. 

But sure enough we have a lot differences on our teams that anything can happen. 

@Berg Ryman do the pre strokes given to the leaders count towards our team scores?

I was sweating that one out. It was a fun run there for a little bit. Morikawa being a non factor the first 2 playoff events ultimately killed my chances. Glad I made it to the finals at least.

I think I’ve made some sense of it through deduction of the facts that although i was within top 10 of the top 20 teams left for pts at the end of Sunday, the fact only 2 of 8 players qualified for the TC invalidated the points earned by the 6 players who failed to get into the top 30 of Fedex Pts?

Your points will carry through regardless of if they are in the top 30 or not. If you have only 2 players in the top 30 for fedex it means you'll only be able to roster a half squad for next week which means chances of gaining ground is difficult. I did see you were in 13, so just missing the cut for top 10 this season though.  

It is a big reason why so many were going hard for top 30 players with trading in the hopes of if they got to the championship week they would be able to field a full team or more getting better odds at having a top player.

For me personally I was just happy to get into top 10 after a awful first week of playoffs. That being said I built this team to be in the final weekend and glad that they are here to show what can be done. 6 players all who have a chance at winning and putting up some really low numbers. This has been a really fun roster to build and construct and appreciate everyones involvement over the season! Not sure about everyone else but i'm looking forward to next season already and building another contender.

I’d urge us to try and find a way so that we can easily follow our scores going forward though.

 

I’m not doing football - I have no desire to play in head to head football leagues - it makes no sense to me anymore.
