Revs on lockdown

Well gents it had to happen. I’m constantly around a lot of people including being in and out of hospitals and spice facilities. I’m as careful as you can reasonably be, wear a mask, keep my distance, wash my hands - though I could better at that last part.
 
I brought communion to someone who is dying on a Monday and the text from her daughter came on Tuesday. After I left she had gotten a call from her work letting her know thats coworker tested positive.
 
You guessed, she went,got tested and is positive. She developed minor symptoms yesterday confirming the test.
 
So I’m quarantined at home for 10 days. I could test out at 6 but that’s Sunday and rapid tests are not allowed for coming back to a school setting so even if I test Monday I won’t have the results back before day 10 - next Thursday.
 
Of course I also live with 3 vulnerable people. Fortunately the floor plan of my house allows me to separate from them easily. My only contact is when I suite up and lift Penny out of bed and then put her in - other than that we yell across the house to one another.

I will be around here during this time and let you know how I’m doing. I was exposed because I was in the same room as this young lady for an hour - but it was a good sized room, we were always far apart, no hugs, and so I’m hopeful it will be okay.

Sorry to hear that, buddy. Hopefully you’ll be good and not suffer any symptoms. Working at school’s pretty much like working in a Petri dish and when you add in your other responsibilities, I don’t know how you could avoid it.

Sounds like it’s putting practice for the next 10 days.

I had an aunt pass away Sunday night and my wife's first cousin lost her husband last night, both to Covid.  Praying for you and a full and quick recovery.

Thanks everyone - so far, so good. The sad thing is I’m 64 and vaccination is for 65 and over here.

I’ve had 2 classmates from COVID - both hospital chaplains. We had two pastors in our church body die from it yesterday.

I have nothing pre existing so should do fine if I get it full blown.

Thanks everyone - please take care of yourselves, we don’t need any casualties here.

Sorry to hear your losses, fortunately I live in Australia and we have very proactive leaders so whilst we have had losses they have been very few in comparison.

All of you in the States have my sympathy and hope it can be contained quickly, not holding my breath though.
