TXG is my top choice , but the content the 2nd swing folks have been putting out lately has been good. I also like the reviews from Sophie Walker from Golfalot, my swing speed is more in her realm than the TXG guys realm.

You ain't kidding, he has me rolling sometimes with his humor. Just started watching his Callaway Epic Speed video and he opens with this gem.

Hands down my favorites are TXG and Alex Etches. TXG has the highest production value of the group, Matt destroys the ball and Ian is brilliant. Alex has good insights, but is absolutely hilarious. I'

I like TXG currently but used to really like the old Rick Shiels videos with Rob Potter the "mid-hanidcapper" gave a better idea of a player who was of a similar skill level. Sent from my SM-G950U u

Don't forget his quick stint with Titleist. IMO, he probably needed Titleist more than they needed him whereas his current sponsor might need a little more help in the recognition dept.

These days it's difficult to tell if he's more interested in getting paid by youtube.. or his sponsor (Cleveland-srixon-Xxio-Asics). Back when he was pre-sponsor, it seemed like his content had more variety and depth. It wasn't always a challenge to prove how less expensive cleveland clubs are as good as anything else. Or how lesser-known Srixon or Xxio clubs are as good as anything else. This is coming from a guy (me) who plays Maltby Irons and a Cleveland HB putter so I'm obviously a fan of lesser-known underdogs dukeing it out with the biggies. I just can't buy that there's not an agenda of some sort.

Hell, rename the show "How Cleveland-srixon-Xxio-Asics are as good or better than the others" and I'd probably watch it because at that point the message is more clear.

I would 100% agree with everything you said there.  You can see an obvious and not so great transition in his channel over the years.  He's essentially chased off almost all of the folks that made him a success... Coach Lockey is the only left over still with him, but in truth they do work great off each other.

But yes, I agree.  He panders to the sponsors he's currently with so that he can maximize his revenue.  Not that I disagree with that in full, because obviously this is a Job for him and he has to make money.  BUT the authenticity gets called into question an awful lot when you're not saying "hey I am with these guys but honestly these are better.."

Don't watch a lot of the you tubers, most of their reviews are too long & drawn out to sell more advertising and many are biased. TXG seems to be fairly neutral, but even their reviews get a bit tedious for me. I did watch a recent 2nd Swing Golf review comparing 4 generations of Callaway drivers to put the "Our longest driver ever" claim to the test which was quite good.

If anything, Lockey is the reason I'd watch any of his more recent stuff. It was sad to see Roy (Rory) and coach Dan part ways. All of these guys brought more fun and whimsy to the show and made it feel like less of a sponsorship special. Even though Lockey is a Callaway guy, he isn't trying to pretend that he's something else.

Lockey is always good for a silly laugh and golf needs that sometimes.

Yeah, I mean you could say that Crosfield went from being a Mizuno fanboy to a Srixon fanboy but at least when he was Mizuno, it was because it seemed like he genuinely loved the brand, whereas now it seems like Srixon sponsors the videos and he's pushing the product because he's paid to do so.

To be fair, before when he was Titleist, he always gave the Srixon irons high marks and wondered why more people didn’t sell them. He seems to be brand agnostic. I also miss Dan. Unfortunately his new channel doesn’t do it for me

I love TXG, but sometimes feels they are pushing the latest even if it isn’t much different than last year’s. Except for the SIM 2. That was truly damning with faint praise

I love how he severely downplays his own game. Talks like he's a mediocre ball striker at best...

I hear you on that. Made me think that they really only talk about what they can sell - kinda their job - so, I don't fault them for it.

TXG seems to do the best they can at showing what is available and how it can be optimized, so I really appreciate them for that.

I also enjoy watching Rick Shiels channel, as I've gotten some good tidbits from him.  Mr Shortgame is very easy to grasp with his concepts, and seems VERY excited to pass them on LOL The TXG guys are good also, I like how they do an all around review of the whole system and how it all comes together.

One guy I haven't seen mentioned (yes, I read every post) was Danny Maude.  Very straight forward and easy to understand.

One YouTube golf couple I've really enjoyed watching lately is Stacked Golf.  Young couple that goes garage saleing and Goodwilling looking for used clubs.  Then they go play 4-5 holes with their latest find.  Kinda fun.

Great thread, I need to check out some of these other people that were suggested.

Perhaps, I could be in the minority here but I watch a ton of golf related content on YouTube.  As such, when new clubs come out or there's some head to heads I love to tune in and here what people have to say.  Now, there are a ton of jokers on there but I'm curious which if any you like?

My personal favorite's are Rick Shiels and Mark Crossfield for club review content.  Shiels hands down to me is the best in the business.  I feel like he gives you more the brutally honest response than the sometimes "my sponsor" filled responses you hear out of Crossfield.  However, TXG has really grown on me and I tend to watch all of their content as well and enjoy the two of them.

Just curious what everyone else likes.

BTW, they all reviewed the new PING Driver and I've never heard almost a unanimous response of this is the most consistent and best driver I've ever hit.  DAMN them to hell!  Now I'm looking at testing that and possibly making a change.

Look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts and chat.

My favorite is probably Rick Shiels
