Just cleaned up my new to me Mizuno JPX919 Hot Metal iron set.

I  cleaned them with some soapy hot water then dried them and buffed them out.  I love the way they feel when I hit them and I love the way they look.20210129_183056.jpg.c78172cb9faabe2870a1889ec8b9586b.jpg

Those made my short list. In fact, the JPX900HM's almost won the day a couple years ago when I opted for the G410's.  I notice how similar their sole designs are and I suspect that's partly why they compete so well for me.

Those look great - I'm playing the MP 18 SC irons and have loved them the last few years.  Potentially going to try the Srixon iron line up this year, but it would be hard to take the Mizunos out of my bag.

I just bought a set of Mizuno Mp-100 forged irons. They are supposed to be a special collectors edition for the 100yr mizuno anniversary.  I have read they they are excited same shape as mp-33.  They where released in 2006, and I read that there where only 2006 sets sold.  So I just dropped $305 on a 15 year old Set  3-pw.

I plan to really buff them out fix paint fill, regrip and hang on wall, but who knows since they already been played i might just give they a round or two. Will post pics after I receive them.

Anyone have and experience with these clubs?

I liked the HM’s, best cast club I hit among all brands I tried, but I liked the JPX900 Forged even more. They won’t leave my bag anytime soon, until/unless Mizuno makes irons even more irresistible.

I got hooked on the 919 Forged and needed to upgrade to the 921 SEL because I have a hoeing problem. I've been playing golf for 30+ years and it wasn't until 2019 that I bought my first Mizuno set. I don't see myself switching out for another brand in a long, long time.

I love Mizuno irons too. I was a Hogan guy for years. I switched in 2015 to JPX 850 Forged. I recently decided to go with graphite shafts (I'm 71) and luckily found a used set of JPX 900s. I'm only three rounds in and it's Winter, but I think I'm going to like them as well.

Irons are incredible but do not sleep on their woods anymore. Solid drivers and the STZ 3 wood might be the best of the year

I demoed a set of the 919HMs last year and most of the clubs didn't impress me, but the gap wedge was amazing.  It had some serious suck back on full shots.  JPX921 Forged irons are on my short list of irons to demo to replace my current irons.

I did a fitting last week and by the numbers JPX 921 Hot Metal Pro's are the club for me. 7 iron felt great, was longer and my dispersion was tighter. My only hesitation is we only hit a 7 iron. I am not positive of buying a set of clubs when only hitting one club.

I hear that especially because mizuno changes clubs as they go up.  Wedges are different then lower irons.

I love my jpx919 so much so that I ordered both the sand and lob wedges.

Need to change your every most every. I’ve played and tried them but they just aren’t all that to me. Nice irons definitely but lots of equals, IMO.

I agree.  I've had a few irons over the years, including MacGregor JNP (forged cavity-back), Mizuno MP30 (forged cavity-back), Titleist AP2-714 (forged multi-material cavity back) and now Titleist T200 (forged face, multi-material, cavity-back).  These are all good clubs, every single one.  Not a single one stands head and shoulders above the others.
