Some of our best shots are often not the prettiest. Last season, at Yuma CC, I gutted my second shot into a par 4 that went over the green, heading for OB (townhomes yards), but caught the cart curb (we think) and suddenly reappeared back over the hill, rolling to a few inches from the cup. Popular Post Tom the Golf Nut
The calendar was clear this morning. So why not try to get the score closer with @fixyurdivot. Overcast and windy. No, really windy! Trying to take advantage of the wind at my back with a slight cross wind, I decided to do something stupid. Ok, maybe not a smart play decision. The 13th hole is a par four 315 yard slight dog leg left. You can't see the green from the tee and there are very tall pine trees on the left. Normally a 3 wood to the right side of the fairway will put you in good position. I took out the driver and aimed at the right edge of the trees. Dropped my right shoulder down a bit to increase my angle of attack and swung with reckless abandon. Looked good to me. I executed well, missed the trees and the slight quartering wind was taking the ball in the direction I wanted. I get to the green and almost cried. What a way to get out of this torturous thread. Holeing a par 4. I felt @Yellow Ball looking at me and saying " nice try, but you missed it by thaaat muuuch" Tap in Eagle. ncwoz, sirchunksalot, GolfSpy_SHARK and 10 others 5 6 2 Quote Driver, TSi 1 S Flex 3 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 7 Wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 Hybrid King Tec MMT R Flex Irons, Tour UST Recoil 95 R Flex (6 - Gap) Wedges, Snakebite KBS Hi- Rev2.0 54* & 60* Agera 35" Ultralight 14-way Cart Bag

That was a phenomenal shot, Tom! Just a little bit more and that would be a crazy good way to graduate from this thread. That's a heckuva drive, it's almost like the G400 is trying to stay in the bag. Great eagle! The G400 has been great since I got it. The Titleist will have to really impress me when it gets here. It did during my demo with it. Hopefully it behaves. tony@CIC, cnosil, sirchunksalot and 2 others 5 Quote Driver, TSi 1 S Flex 3 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 7 Wood, Aerojet Max UST Helium Nanocore R Flex 5 Hybrid King Tec MMT R Flex Irons, Tour UST Recoil 95 R Flex (6 - Gap) Wedges, Snakebite KBS Hi- Rev2.0 54* & 60* Agera 35" Ultralight 14-way Cart Bag
