Why don’t they just make PGA pros use a actual wood’s and let amateurs use metal woods. Distance solved.

Why don't they maintain the rough, fairways, sand traps, and greens with the same effort they put into the courses we play?   See how much roll they get hitting into wet, sloppy fairways, how well they can get out of the patchy rough, how well they can get a good lie in a poorly draining, poorly raked, and lack of sand in the sand traps.....game changer!
