PUTTER SET TO ARRIVE TOMORROW?!?!?!

Yes, according to the shipping information from UPS, my SIK left Illinois at 12:23 this morning and is scheduled to be in my hands by tomorrow. To say this is interesting is most obvious.

Well, I do have a putting return thing from a big box store from a few christmases ago I can set up in the basement. I also have a carpet covered basement floor as well to work through some speed drills to make sure I'm pacing things right.

Admittedly @GolfSpy MPR I'm not a huge drill guy or gadget guy like yourself. I like to do some practice on putting greens near the course and sadly that's not an option right now. I may take a trip to Turning Stone and it's golf dome before the season gets started, but there isn't anything specific I do other than stat track now through Arccos.

I'm just now coming into this thread and it's fantastic. I live in Victor, but haven't visited CC yet. Glad you enjoyed TW, but the Basin Inn next door used to have better burgers. Not sure if they're still open, so glad you got to enjoy the root beer.

Just got fitted for a driver last week at another shop and was talking to the fitter about how he does putter fitting. His approach was not as impressive as the driver fitting so I passed After reading your experience, I'll be visiting John at CC soon.

Thanks for the great post(s) and good luck with your putter! Looking forward to hearing how it performs.

Perhaps! Seems unlikely though unless you want to know about this steak. It will be tender

Update #2

So, I know I missed deadline on this. I promise you you'll get the update this weekend. That reason is two-fold.

1) Work has been an absolute bear this week, but next week it looks like it's slowing down for a bit of a spell

2) I'm actually having fun practicing right now and haven't been looking hypercritically at things because I'm having such a good honeymoon time.

Spoiler alert for the first impression post, I likey a lot.

Guys, I'm so sorry, work has been an absolute bear and even when it seems like it's slowing down, it isn't. Quick and dirty thoughts are this.

Pro: Easy to align, a nice soft 'ting' on impact to tell you where you're striking it, easy to swing on line for me straight back and then closing though the stroke. I've been putting 4-6 footers every time I've gone down to put wood in my wood stove recently, making at around an 85% rate. Again, straight putt, carpet turf, not grooved. Good to see the ball roll in the hole very often though. Build quality is solid, grip is perfect for my hands and the leather headcover with the magnet closure is awesome.

Con: Price. It's expensive, even without the Club Champion fitting. Only other flaw, maybe too heavy for a fast green? Obviously right now in controlled environment where we're focusing more on grooving path than speed I can be as aggressive as I want. As it looks like we might get courses open here in a short time, hopefully we can work on the speed side of things soon.
