fixyurdivot
Or is it The Genesis Open? It is a reduced field but I often see it listed by both names. Another week in CA, just a hop, skip and jump from Pebble Beach. 30 of the top 50 are in the field looking for a lions share of the hefty $9.3M purse. I'm still undecided on where this trophy ranks amongst its peers... but not very high, that I can say for sure. So who ya got? tony@CIC 1 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Currently Under Product Test)
GolfSpy AFG
This is going to be a good one. Hard to pick anyone besides DJ, especially with his record there. Bubba likely to play well too. fixyurdivot
It just dawned on me that none of us have been picking BAD of late. Seems not that long ago he was golf 24/7/365 and was running the table while guzzling protein shakes. He may now be the USGA & RA's biggest problem... as in a HUGE chunk of their argument is proving a wee bit shaky. Riviera looks like a great course! Anyone ever played there? That 309 yard #10 is doing a great job sucking them into the "risk/reward... or not" decision. Lots of players finding trouble and bogeys. JT just seems to be in a funk. Very interesting take from Scott Fawcett concerning that hole that he shared on the Hack It Out Golf podcast. Basically said that the supposed ideal layup spot required an inordinate amount of precision to achieve the so-called “best” angle. And, that the best way to play it is to go for it, and then reassess...you either draw a good lie and stay aggressive, or you don’t get so lucky and play for par. If I remember right he said there was a .25 scoring advantage in 2020 for those who went for it versus the layup crowd. ncwoz, cnosil, Kenny B and 2 others 5 Quote Driver: TSR2, Ventus Blue 6 S, 65g Stiff FW: TSR2 3w, 15, Ventus Blue 7 S, 70g Stiff Hybrids: Apex Pro 3H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Stealth DHY 4H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Irons: SMS 5-6, SMS Pro 7-PW, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Wedges: SM9 48 F Grind, 52 F Grind, 56 M Grind, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Putter: Sri-Hot 5K Triple Wide, Stroke Lab shaft Ball: Pro V1 Click here for my HONMA TR20 Official Review!
