I think they didn't know standing on the tee how that green was playing to realize the bomb and gouge wouldn't work. We got to see everyone making the same mistake but they don't get to. From what I saw they wouldn't have been able to spin it enough to hold the ball near that pin even from the fairway. But they could have hit the tee ball like you said and played to the front middle of the green and let it release to 10 - 15 feet. I think the best place to be for a possible birdie with that pin would have been to somehow hit the tee ball into the back right trap. tony@CIC and fixyurdivot 2 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Snake Eyes 18* 2h, 23* 4h & 27* 5h; JPX 900 Forged 6 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition!
