Curtis Atkinson 345
Similar to you, got into golf in October and once I felt like I was playing regularly wanted to invest in a new set. I did a lot of research on this site and went in with the idea that T300s were probably best for me and told the fitter that but said if I was hitting something else much better, I'd be willing to go something different. Hit the T300 really well so I probably would've been fine getting those on my own but figuring out shaft flex, lie, length etc. would've made that useless. I'd say do research, go to a fitter with great reviews in the area and have an idea of what you're looking for and let them do their thing. Jchris05 34
If you are looking for reasonable price clubs from a fitter I would highly suggest the mizuno 921 hot metal. I got got into a custom shaft at no charge and the irons have just a different feel then your usual car gi iron has. But again you can hit them and not like them. So get fitted. Try different shafts in different heads. Compare them. If you don’t like the price then call someone like sub 70 and tell Jason what you are looking for and your experience with what shafts worked best for and he can take that information and suggest the best head and shaft combo for your game. Ps the sub 70 699 irons are pretty amazing but I am in love with my 921 hot metal pros. Good luck

I love my 921 Hot Metal Pros and have no regrets whatsoever about switching to them from the Callaway Mavrik that I was originally fit to (the HMPs originally came in a very close second).
