Oh my! No PING?!

Another nice test, interesting to see that Callaway moved to a more PING LST-like spin story (low but playable) and claimed the crown. I haven’t hit that one yet but I want to. Nice to see the Radspeed up there too.

So I’ll be the first to ask... when do we get the high speed players report??!

If they are able to stick to the same schedule as the past, I think it will be about 3 to 4 weeks from now.

Who would ever think that someone would say best value and PXG in the same sentence.

Weird times! lol

I’m sort of surprised that they let the 0211 series look better than the 0811. Although I know some folks will love the lighter strip of carbon.

I’ll certainly try to get my hands on a demo of some sort this Spring. And looks like I need to do a Titleist Thursday fitting too.

Bottom line seems to be there’s a lot of high quality equipment out there.

Mizuno hype = dud distance? That's depressing.

Ping G410LST still holding its own. Ebay and other BST forums about to find renewed demand for that club.

I was fitted for the Cobra Radspeed back in January. Glad to see what my fitting showed is matching up with the test results. After a few range sessions and one round, I'm feeling much more confident at address with the Radspeed. Hopefully going to get in a few rounds this week with good weather on the horizon for Georgia, but I'll say the distance gains and consistent launch i'm getting right now have been substantial compared to my old Taylormade M6.

Great to see the 410LST hold its own. It's exactly what I have seen in testing the 2021 drivers against my LST.  Nothing can beat it because it is properly fit.  The only drivers I haven't hit against it are the Mizuno STZ and Radspeed.

Interesting results as always. Flip flopping years here on Callaway and Ping. All the top performers are close though.

Really interesting results.  Ping seems to have outdone themselves on the G410.   For the past 5 years or so, Callaway seems to safe bet when it comes to a new fitting.

I am neutral overall on Callaway. Really surprised at how well the new Epic line did.

Disappointed on the Ping G425 Max.

$900!!!  Where are you buying your drivers?!   I understand with upgraded shafts, but even then you should be able to get everything for around $750 unless you bring autoflex into the fold.  Or you are buying club champion directly?

This definitely changes my thought process going into the fitting. I was thinking that G425 Max and RadSpeed XB were my top 2. The Ping is definitely lower now and I'm going to need to try both the Callaway Max and Max LS as well as TSI2. I was always low on SIM2 Max due to lack of adjustability, and nothing in the data changes that. At the end of the day numbers in the fitting will direct me towards the best club, but this changes my perception of them going in.

Gotta figure cost for fitting, tax and freight. Worst case that was my top number.

Very interesting results, but not all to surprising.  Though I will say like so many others not seeing PING up there at the top section was a bit of a head scratcher.

I think this test is interesting. I wouldn't recommend crossing out any drivers just because a brand wasn't in the top 10 (Ping). The numbers are probably all really close and you might find that driver #20 gives you the optimum spin and flight to maximize distance and forgiveness. If this test shows anything, it's that price point may not necessarily drive performance. I'll would be curious to see the data and how close all these drivers actually are. For all we know the top 10 drivers could be within a yard of each other distance wise.

I'm looking at it as Ping has been ahead of most other companies and they are now only starting to bridge that gap with technology.  Definitely surprised at results, especially after watching and reading so many reviews.

Assumed Titleist would be up there, but still can't believe how well the G410 did with the new crop.  Just goes to show how important fitting is to the fold.  My MavRik sub zero has been incredibly forgiving for me and compared to other drivers in the test last year, was a weakness.

I was surprised at the winner because the Callaway Epic that I tested earlier this month was 2nd to last on my list, just above the Cleveland BB21. Happy to see the Titleist TSi2 was second place because that was my 1st place.

Alrighty, I'm going to be the first to be "that guy" that dives too deep into the data.  Comparing the PXG 0211 with the Callaway Epic Max LS.  The numbers are statistically identical but the Callaway has just shy of 6 yards carry over the PXG.  How??  🧐

A .38MPH difference in ball speed can't equal 6 yards.  It doesn't make any difference in the real world but on a chart it puts Callaway at the top and the PXG waaaaay down the list.

PXG 0211:  BS - 138.19, Launch - 13.55, Spin - 2,356, Carry - 224.76

Callaway Epic Max LS:  BS - 138.57, Launch - 13.51, Spin 2,349, Carry - 230.55

My bag is a revolving door!
