Looking for a budget used driver $75 to $150 or something best bang for the buck. Just reaching out for ideas. I may end going up to $250 and buy a couple year old driver if needed, but I though I would reach out here first.

Try Touredgecom. Then select their Certified PreOwned. They usually have several models for $150

Agreed, CPO or a slightly older used Cobra would very likely fit your budget. Don't forget CPO also sells other brands, usually at a heavier discount than their own clubs, looking to sell off clubs they got in trade.

Good options above.   One odd thing I've found is that 2nd Swing, Global Golf, Hurricane Golf, etc. also have eBay pages and usually they are cheaper on there for some reason opposed to the website.

Do you have any idea with the driver you are looking for?  You can always go to Golf Galaxy or similar type store and try some pre owned drivers to see what you like.  Or give some of the new drivers a test more so to get a feel for the shaft you like.  Then do some research on similar shafts, ie mid launch, low launch low spin and so on.

Cobra F6, F7 and maybe the F8 are all really good drivers in that price range. I played the F7 until recently. Another option might be the Tour Edge EXS. I tried one at a demo day when it came out and really liked it. If I wasn’t already buying irons that year I’d probably seriously considered buying it. I just replaced the F7 with the ESX 220 which is also very good but costs more than you want to spend.

Search this site and other BST sites (g*olfwrx, THP, etc) for guys unloading their stash. Ebay is great but buyer beware. Counterfeit galore.

Drivers to look for:

TaylorMade M2

Callaway Great Big Bertha

Ping G and G30

Srixon Z765

Tour Edge Exotics XCG

There's other great budget drivers, but those come to mind. It will take some research to find one in your price range. Good luck.

Thanks for all the help guys

Actually found a Callaway Rouge Draw Driver with a Hazrdous Shaft on CPO in very good Condition. Was about 167 with tax a little out side of the budget but figured it would be worth it since would be a little newer than most. Have bought a driver since 2010 so it was due. Thanks for all the advice and help.

  • 2 weeks later...

Check ebay for the Vertical Groove driver.  I picked up a 10.5 head for $50 and threw a shaft in it as an experiment. It's feels great and goes long and straight. The marketing around it was a little gimmicky, but it flat out performs.  I think John Daly played one for a minute.
